All impressive, 3 and 14 struck me as naturalistic, some were too contrived for my taste - off centre pathways and tank 6 in particular is not my style at all, stylised forest scenes underwater.
@@victornaesens Good to know! I've heard differently from other people so now I'm conflicted lol. I'll probably have to try one out for myself and if it's too noisy it'll just go down to the fish room
@@sydneysangels I had one in my bedroom and I couldn't sleep with it. So yeah I replaced it with a filtosmart 100. But the HOB is still a very good filter
ALL OF THEM ARE SO BEARUTIFUL...I FOR ONE LOVE THEM ALL !!!! . I an working on one right now like this one but a 20 gallon.. Been doing this for over one year right now....
Beautiful! My favourites are 13 and 15, I like the feeling of a ravine in both of them, but with different approaches. Very difficult to achieve in such a small space ;)
Amazing ! When i saw some tanks with so much plants in 3 month ! I suppose they use some personal plants too but i'm jealous (after, no living stock inside so they could put the co2 very hight). Congrats to all.
beautiful tanks, very inspiring. me personally, I miss the fish. for me the hobby is still about keeping healthy, beautiful fish in the first place. sometimes I get the feeling that aquascaping puts all the effort only in rocks, wood and plants.
prob too stressfull indeed, the tanks there were only there for about 2-3 days, when it was 5pm and everyone started leaving the first tanks were already being broken down, only the top 3 of the contest got to keep their sponsored aquascape
Fish provide movement and dynamism, in contrast to the stability and staticity provided by hardscape and plants. unfortunately fish will get stressed if included during the exhibition
Oohhhh balen!! Heb de beurs gemist. In mijn hoofd was het elk jaar in november. Maar kan er naast zitten na die 2 jaar dat het niet door ging.. Maar wat zijn ze allemaal prachtig!
Saw them in real life at vivarium last saturday! I really liked tank 10. I really wanted an ID on the fern on the left side of the aquarium, on the right side of the "stump". It looks like a bolbitis but with round leaves.
Is that twinstar b-line? I didn’t know it could grow advanced plants? They market it as a fish and shrimp light… I really wanted to buy the 45p kit from Strideway but was out off by the light.
Does anyone know the name of the stem plant in tank #1? The one in the middle of the background with the orange/red tips? It looks so beautiful in there!
Is 3 liter voldoende?
All very impressive, but some too unnatural for me. Tank 3 and 14 for me joint winners - very subjective business to judge I accept. Tank 12 has a great sense of depth. Without fish I'm not sure I get the total glimpse of nature feel. But great content Mark, thanks for sharing and filming so expertly and adding sympathetic music.
Depends a little bit on the setup and how much light is on the tank, but if we are talking about intense lighting I would say max 60cm medium light 90cm and low light 120cm
These scapes are all fabulous and (in combination with the soothing melodies) sooo pleasing to the eye whereas in sharp contrast the Tidals knock down mind, sense and emotion. What drives a company to design and sell such an ugly beast of a HOB. I don't get it... Skillfully photographed and edited, thank you Mark.
I gotta say without any fish, these tanks have a very similar vibe to an uncanny valley kind of feeling. The designs are stunning, but it just doesn't quite sit right with ur psyche. It's like they feel kind of dead or abandoned or something.

I like the first one the best.
4, 7, 12 are my favorites. Amazing what these aquascapers can do!
Tank number #10 is in my opinion the most beautiful. I really love the vast amount of plants in there.
These nano tanks look insane!!!!
Thanks for showing them to us...........
No problem 👍
The third it is for me. The contrast with light and shadow, man. Looks like a beautiful ancient forest
All impressive, 3 and 14 struck me as naturalistic, some were too contrived for my taste - off centre pathways and tank 6 in particular is not my style at all, stylised forest scenes underwater.
Just amazing. Really beautiful.
The one at 26:00 is absolutely breathtaking!
These nano scapes were definitely my highlight of Vivarium! The water of the scapes were crystal clear!
Really beautiful tanks! It's so cool that we can see them all in one video. 1, 2, 5, 12 are my favourite.
Finding your channel definitely got me back into the hobby. Love you videos MJ!!
That is awesome!
Second tank is the standout for me. Beautiful
Just lovely, much better than TV📺
REALLY like tank 7, nurse log vibe with the grass underneath is stunning
Thank you
Thanks MJ, enjoyed this with my morning coffee 🇦🇺❤️
So many great tanks but second place was my favourite by a long shot.
1 st scape is the best of all for me
Love this video. I will be watching it again soon. There is too much to see in one watch.
Beautiful nano scapes! The first was the best! Great hardscape!
Stunning footage MJ!
The first tank and tank no 18 were my the best looking.
Simply mesmerizing. This video compels me to setup a nano.
Tank 12 is by favourite by far. Great perspective. But for my sense the left and right side is in competition.
Agree with the comments.
This channel made me love this new hobby of mine, and everything is so informative.
Thank you sooo much!
I gotta get my hands on one of those new Oase HOB filters! Beautiful work as always MJ!
I have one and i find that they are a bit noisy…

@@victornaesensprive4488 oh okay that's good to know. I appreciate the info 🙂 worse case scenario it will just be a super fancy fish room filter haha
10 was my favorite and 14 was my second choice!
Love them all but for me tank #2 stands out.
Wooo, t😊hanks for sharing these !
Very nice tube of the lovely scapes.❤
ALL OF THEM ARE SO BEARUTIFUL...I FOR ONE LOVE THEM ALL !!!! . I an working on one right now like this one but a 20 gallon.. Been doing this for over one year right now....
Ik vond de eerste echt het mooiste. 😍
5:52 wowzers in my trousers that’s a beautiful tank.
Wow! Amazing & such inspirational scapes. Fav's I'll say #08 & #12.
Salut, super vidéo qui appaise le corps après une longue journée de travail. Merci pour ton travail super format ^^
I love this 🙌🏼 So much inspiration in one video!
Great aquascape collection
They’re all wonderful!
6 and 12 for sure. Best regards!
Beautiful! My favourites are 13 and 15, I like the feeling of a ravine in both of them, but with different approaches. Very difficult to achieve in such a small space ;)
All stunning and interesting great video MJ if I had to pick one it would be 3rd place
Amazing creativity. Man playing God.
Beautiful tanks! I hope they got fish at some point!
Amazing !

Congrats to all.
The one is beautiful 🇫🇷🔥💪😉🌱

Love all of them, all the music chosen are fantastic too. I wonder where I can find them, thank you 😍😍😍
3rd place is brilliant like looking through a forest
The one that won 1st place is my least favourite! First and 5th ones are very cool.
beautiful tanks, very inspiring. me personally, I miss the fish. for me the hobby is still about keeping healthy, beautiful fish in the first place. sometimes I get the feeling that aquascaping puts all the effort only in rocks, wood and plants.
Yeah would have been nice to see some fish in here, but it would be too stressful for them as well

#4, great work!
Tank 19 is amazing. ❤❤ I’d pay anything to have that set up for me
Thx for this.
32:58 tank 18
Tank #5: wow! Absolutely beautiful
Tank #13: very nice. I would lower the water level a bit to create a terrarium with some vampire crabs and tetras.
Super high tech video
tank 4 and tank 12 are the best
Oohhhh balen!! Heb de beurs gemist. In mijn hoofd was het elk jaar in november. Maar kan er naast zitten na die 2 jaar dat het niet door ging.. Maar wat zijn ze allemaal prachtig!
Love 14, just needed light at the end of the little tunnel.
16:27 was genius. He hid all of the equipment inside of the aquarium.
Saw them in real life at vivarium last saturday! I really liked tank 10. I really wanted an ID on the fern on the left side of the aquarium, on the right side of the "stump". It looks like a bolbitis but with round leaves.
I think its Spleenwort - Hymenasplenium obscurum
10 was my favorite as well!
Magnifique 👍. Mes preferes 1 3 5 6 12
14:24 my favourite Brazilianstyle/diorama/iwagumi
This scape won the tournament
Tank #4 is by far my favorite. Do you have any more in depth videos on that one?
Sir, please make a video on how to grow land moss in an aquarium
Hi MJ, will java moss grow like your moss scaping method?
It should yes! Maybe just a bit more wild
How did the plants grew so good with that type of light? And the reds… 😮
I'm sure some people used different lights at home
believe it or not, Twinstar B is a powerful light. Coupled with nitrate limitation, you can make Rotala h'ra and similar low-demanding red plants red
Are those beautiful tank without co2?
Wow🎉
Top😍😍😍
What kind of wood it is in the first scape?
No idea sorry
Is that twinstar b-line? I didn’t know it could grow advanced plants? They market it as a fish and shrimp light… I really wanted to buy the 45p kit from Strideway but was out off by the light.
Does anyone know the name of the stem plant in tank #1? The one in the middle of the background with the orange/red tips? It looks so beautiful in there!
Juncus repens! It's a green plant, but with high light and lean dosing it turns a nice red color!
@@MJAquascaping That's crazy, I would have never guessed that! Thank you! :)
what brand of lamp and filter do you use?
Is 3 liter voldoende?
In Tank No. 4, what is the name of the emers plants, Asparagus?
Never saw before. Wow.
i've never really been a fan of nano tanks, you do the same maintenance as a larger tank but they are much more delicate and difficult to work on.
It is a cheap white glass ;)
Ok 18:31 is crazy
the one at 5.48 OMAGOD
I'd give anything for a tank like #12!
My favorite scape was on the Azaqua stand ;-)
😎
😍😍😍👍👍👍

Hello 👋🏼 I have a quick question on your DIY co2 system. what's the biggest size aquarium you'd recommend for the 2 litre bottle measurements?
Depends a little bit on the setup and how much light is on the tank, but if we are talking about intense lighting I would say max 60cm medium light 90cm and low light 120cm
@@MJAquascaping appreciate you taking the time to answer 🙂
Amazing tanks with healthy plants ! Does anybody has the name of the plants in the foreground in tank 11 ??! I Will order it
In the first scape, what is the pink/red fern-like plant in the upper left corner? Thanks
I think it's Hygrophila pinnatifida. It turns this color in good conditions.
But with that type of light , it’s not strong at all
Yep pinnatifida!
light and filter all same? wow. im starting to like that hob filter..
Yeah the contest was supported by twinstar and oase
🐠🐟
Who could participate and under what conditions (entry fee?) if participants gets full set for 3 months.
Basically anyone could participate, with no fee! The only requirement was that you pick up the full set from aquaflora headquarters
how the heck did #10 lose to the one that got 1st place?
#7
The music reminds me of everytime by Britney Spears 🤣
WHAT SIZE ARE THESE TANKS??
45x30x27cm
These scapes are all fabulous and (in combination with the soothing melodies) sooo pleasing to the eye whereas in sharp contrast the Tidals knock down mind, sense and emotion. What drives a company to design and sell such an ugly beast of a HOB. I don't get it...

Those are Oase filters. I think they are actually pretty sleek for HOBs, but I agree- very visually overpowering on these small tanks.
First 🥇
I HAD TO WATCH IS 3 TIMES! My favorite was #4, then # 3. Which entry was yours?
I did not participate 😊
No fish or shrimp? Not even snails?
Without animals they feel empty, unfinished.
Yeah I agree! Contest rules unfortunately
I gotta say without any fish, these tanks have a very similar vibe to an uncanny valley kind of feeling. The designs are stunning, but it just doesn't quite sit right with ur psyche. It's like they feel kind of dead or abandoned or something.
They were all amazing, and better than anything I could do, but the first place scape was not nearly as creative as a lot of the others imo
11, 12 and 14
may i know what kind of filter they use for tank #1 ?
