Steve Dawson and Brian Johnson must be long lost brothers. I have the Vintage Modern and Class 5, both are great amps! I was getting some killer doom sounds from the Class 5 with an SD-1 in front of it the other day. Always super cool to see videos with Steve. There's a great presence and knowledge about him.
Thank God for people like Steve Dawson…, super cool looking strat*** he’s holding too. I haven’t finished the video yet, I hope to hear him play it… ope he did!!! Oh yeah
I’m a big fan of Steve’s designs and own and use the Vintage Modern and Astoria amps myself. It would be great to see more of his designs in the future from Marshall. 👍👍
@@kenaiello4851 The Astoria Custom It's a really versatile amp. Great vintage tones and high gain in one amp. Thanks to his features. Booster, body switch, brightness switch, Gain pot, treble pot, middle pot, Bass pot, Edge pot and a master volume. 30W/5W Power modes. Serial FX loop with a pot control (you can use it like a second master volume). Switchable Boost and FX Loop with a footswith.
What a marvellous sounding and looking amp. Marshall is the best! And now I need a JTM45! Thank you very much for this rare opportunity of listening to this amplifier in action.
Cheers guys!! Nice demo of a Great amp! I have one exactly like that that I built in 2006 with the original type speakers, T652 w/ Marshall labels and the great EC Collins grill cloth!
Beautiful sounds, guys. Hats off to Mr. Dawson for recreating these classics and for his appreciation that the guitar's controls are an essential part of the circuit.
I recently purchased an early’80’s JTM45 30watt jumper. It’s the perfect platform for a few pedals in front. A good compressor, and a Tube Screamer type in front as well. Amazing tone…
@@doc_matter That's what they all say. I'll bet that within 2 years, they've made major changes. I'm not saying they'll be detrimental to the company, but there's sure to be changes.

Wow. I have a Marshall JTM 45 I bought back in 1984. I play it out once in a while but prefer my Roland JC twin 15 because of the high end. It's nice to find out that the old shit you have been hanging on to is worth something 😂.
Marshall? research it, measure it (especially the transformers!) duplicate it (if you can.. :) ) and i'll buy one. I will stuff it with some tubes from my collection and i'll be eternal grateful
YES!!
When I think or said "Marshall" is in this what that I'm thinking or saying.
Long live to the JTM45

Yeah have the vm also and 2 Studios
Totally agree. I own and use the VM2466 and a Astoria Custom too.

Brilliant line of videos, please keep these coming
This is a great idea to put these out there. Wow! Thanks for posting these!
Waiting for the 200W Marshall Major :D
I bought a JMD:1 , 100 Watt ... four by twelve cabinet . BEST Amp in the World . 🔊🔊🔊🔊🎸✨✨✨🏅☮️🏄🏽♀️
Old mate rocking out was great
Another great video. Thank you.❤
Pretty good😊
I think, I just feeling it that Marshall’s gonna have more studio series coming up.
Please bring back the jmp50 combo back.
This amp with a Tube Screamer and Boss Chorus and Delay would be the perfect setup.
Love my bluesbreaker.
fuck that guy can shred!
Praying Zound Industries doesn't ruin the world's greatest amplifiers 🙏
Let's hope so.
Can’t wait to see a special edition hand wired bluesbreaker with Bluetooth capabilities come out!

perfect for someone in a 70s tribute act
Great interview and demo. An idea - maybe a video showing us how to dial these tones in on a DSL range amp?…

@@marshallamps Great. Thank you
Unfortunately that's going to be impossible, if you want a great amp going to have to pay for one!
Watch the Johan Segeborn videos on it. He does a great job making the DSL20 sound just about the same as the SV20.
They don't make Marshall's like this anymore...😢
Nice talk
Monster !
Sweet
Steve Dawson should be on the Marshall Hall of Fame (Assuming that thing exists) 😀
Love the sound of that, was it LOUD in the room? :)
a bomb
Sure would be cool if Marshall still made amplifiers.
In that time. from 1930 up to 1970 it was a choice what kind of speaker you wanted in the amplifier.
Can we get a video on the entire JCM 900 series (MkIII, SL-X, DR)? Would love to hear an engineer's words on the thought process behind the designs.
❤💙❤
This is where the tone came from...

Please make a faithful reproduction!
So, does this have the tube rectifier?
should have since the version before the jtm 45 has one and the bluesbreaker(one version after) has one

Who the fk uses tremolo???apart from Roy Orbison..
I use it on my 1974x. try it, it is a great effect, even on a heavy overdriven amp...
