This is because coaching system in batting here 99% focuses only on defense and drive which is good only few years after that when the basics are clear many coaches do not make batsmen practice shots like pull hitting over the top of the fielder moslty coaches do not teach them in majority of the academies that is batsmen here are good in defense and drive but face some problems in backfoot play
Love the vids and great tips for me who is still learning about the game being 12 years old. I'm Australian as well and it is so hot in Cairns playing on Saturday at 12:30 every weekend. Legend
@prashant kumar You need to play in the club league (preferably first or second division), your performance should be outstanding enough to earn you a spot in the zonal squad, then all you gotta do is perform well again, like you did in the club league. Score Big. Score consistently. Once you've done your part you can let your case rest with the selectors. Selection isn't in any cricketers hand. No matter which level you play in. My advice would be to work hard, keep getting better, and not think about the selection. Good luck :)
@@anirbanchakraborty1464 There's no time frame as such. It could take a year or two or five or maybe never. Bottomline is you gotta score runs, take wickets day in day out. Devdutt Padikkal played only two seasons in the senior club league before breaking it into the state squad (He dubuted in the KSCA Division I league at age 16 if I am not mistaken). While there are others I know who haven't cracked it even after 5-7 years.
No short balls? Scolls you know this young bloke would be bounced furiously in grade cricket in any state in Australia why didn’t you test him out? He is an excellent player of pitched up bowling but what about the short stuff? He might be an excellent player of the pull shot too but show your viewers that.
@SyphorX but rohit and sixes are the best of friends don't chat shit ,he gets the job done , doesn't matter how but he gets it down, result matters,I don't care how he gets it
Great shots and good body balance. Just one query while leaving the ball the lad’s head was almost outside the off stump is it really necessary to do that ?because his initial stance is on the leg stump. Is it okay if he keeps his head still while leaving the ball rather than chasing it ?
I get the whole side on thing for playing straight and on the off side but what about playing on the leg side wouldn't you need to open up a little bit
Such a shame the test series won’t be in the traditional order of the green top GABBA then bouncy fast Perth, how will these young Indian superstars learn to play on lively pitches when they avoid them?
@@cricxedits2494 yes you are a very good team, no need to change the traditional test order in Australia, who is to say that the Indian paceman wouldn’t have taken advantage of the fast bouncy wickets? thank goodness India did win, or test cricket could be dead and we would be watching irrelevant T 20 crap for ever.
I could watch this lad bat all day. Amazing.

He resembles Dinesh Karthik while playing those drives. Absolutely class👍
Abdullah Sheikh I don’t think dinesh Karthick has drives like these

What a player he is with amazing footwork and the straight bat just superb
Played against him in the club league. Quite a player, good at milking the bowler and plays in the v.

KIOC has lovely talents
Super flat footed. Could probably do with a trigger to help with the backfoot movement issues.
Tell him to bent his keens little bit .to balance
Very good looking batsman
