I don't think the credits are just garbled. I think they're encoded in some kind of cypher(caesar, atbash or maybe even vigenere(with keyword probably being run)
Considering I used to have nightmares about Nickelodeon credits and logos, this video sent chills down my spine cause I know if I were a kid seeing this, I’d probably have a panic attack. Great stuff.
Not gonna lie, I was expecting Splaat (yes, that's the name of the character in the logo) to elaborate on the "RUN" warning. If I remember correctly, someone made a TTS version of Splaat's voice in the logo (not AI, pretty sure it was made from scratch, not by using samples or things like that), so making Splaat say some strange things for this anomaly wouldn't be impossible to do...
Understandable. While visual jumpscares are seen as weak attempts at horror, they can definitely add to that, but in this case, not using the end credit bump at the end and instead relying on the credits and change of audio was a better choice for this video. Leaves the viewer on edge and expecting something, when there's nothing but a warning.
I thought I'd start leaving my thoughts on each tape that has released thus far, just for fun. The one that started one of my favorite analogue horrors "kinda" series. While it may not be one of the best tapes in this series, I still think it holds up pretty well. The uncanniness of the jumbled-up credits, the music slowly becoming more unnerving in tone, nothing here is cheap, and I would say it's very well executed. I would've complained about the text that says "RUN" when I was watching this series for the first time, but after watching this series grow, and the lore of TeleBLUE expanding, as well as considering all the horrific actions VAL has committed and the many tools he has at his disposal, it would seem like something he would've done. All and all, a great tape that set itself as a foundation for what was to come
This is fantastic. Especially given that I was a 90s Nick Kid. It just feels like what I honestly used to think was going to happen watching Nick alone in the basement as a 5th and 6th grader. The fun sounds with the creepy vibes. Just excellent.

In my opinion, this is analog horror done right. Just the fact that there were no readable words outside of "run" was enough to make me feel uncomfortable. Well done :)
this is good. really good. i remember watching rugrats before i could read, so this is...kinda just what the credits looked like to me as a kid. the blank nick logo is just the cherry on top. very subtly wrong but still leaves you with that weird feeling.
You can remember not being able to read??? That's interesting. I can remember having difficulty reading long passages and having to stick to short ones, but I can't remember being totally illiterate. I have some brief flashes of being two or three- one of which is actually sitting at ths living room table practicing writing letters- but my first clear sequential memory is my own fifth birthday, by which time I had basic literacy. I was there, Two o'clock in the morning, looking for the Music from the Rugrats Movie "Take me There", until I came across a video that said it was the NickToon Credits, I decided to click to remember and listen to that little song from the credits, I clicked on video and I come across a bunch of meaningless written things, a blank screen, and simply a "Run" thrown in my face, right after, the Nick Logo completely empty. Normally I wouldn't find this video so scary, but simply because I wasn't expecting it, I felt like I had finished watching an episode of Rugrats late in the morning on the living room TV, and I came across these strange credits, it's just very strange (True story of what happened for me to find this video)
Outros in the early to late 2000's tended to be very ominous and disturbing somehow. The only thing you hear is the music and if you're like me when I was younger, the thought of a VHS or CD ending after the credits and playing nothing but static or sitting on a plain black or blue screen and playing static or white noise was absolutely chilling for some reason which is why I'd always rewind my shit before heading into bed and playing the media. Idk why, but that was always disturbing to me as a child.
i’d be screaming hysterically if i saw this as a kid, because i was afraid of the credits of rugrats nonetheless until i was 8. even if i wasn’t scared of the credits, i would be scared of this at like 5-6 years old. this is such a good edit of the credits, especially with the haystack logo having no nickelodeon text at the end. it was quite eerie

@sunsetstudios over here in the UK. The reboot series is only on Paramount plus kinda wish it aired on Nickelodeon as well, but at least the original series still airs on Nicktoons over here.

I was there, Two o'clock in the morning, looking for the Music from the Rugrats Movie "Take me There", until I came across a video that said it was the NickToon Credits, I decided to click to remember and listen to that little song from the credits, I clicked on video and I come across a bunch of meaningless written things, a blank screen, and simply a "Run" thrown in my face, right after, the Nick Logo completely empty. Normally I wouldn't find this video so scary, but simply because I wasn't expecting it, I felt like I had finished watching an episode of Rugrats late in the morning on the living room TV, and I came across these strange credits, it's just very strange (True story of what happened for me to find this video)
Outros in the early to late 2000's tended to be very ominous and disturbing somehow. The only thing you hear is the music and if you're like me when I was younger, the thought of a VHS or CD ending after the credits and playing nothing but static or sitting on a plain black or blue screen and playing static or white noise was absolutely chilling for some reason which is why I'd always rewind my shit before heading into bed and playing the media. Idk why, but that was always disturbing to me as a child.
