Since the Karen in the last story was drunk when she first arrived, I'd have had the police waiting for her the minute she drove off in her rental. A DWI would have taken away whatever leverage she had with her own insurance company.
I would have said it to the car rental guy right in front of her and called the police there and then. She drove the car for the insurance job to them. Since its an insurance job she cant tell them they cant touch the car either since it was already booked in by the insurance.
The Karen in the last story brought her daughter, AND her son, AND her husband to that final confrontation -- no "I brought my daughter." And NOBODY mentioned private property in any of the stories. Loved the narration, though!
How in the name of Sam Hill, does a car, totalled by an insurance company, get driven away from the garage? In the UK the garage would be taken to court, and the car owner would be given a fine and could lose their license. Once a car is written off it cannot be driven until it is deemed safe with a full inspection.
@@mbyerly9680 Or drove it to another shop with damage that didn't affect driving to badly. The story also said that they lost more money because of it being driven so it sounds like they kept driving it. Also it depends on what state they were in as each one has different laws on the subject.
As a small business owner, I learned early on, there are some customers you DO NOT WANT. Let them go pester your competitors, there are plenty of better customers.
Yeah no I totally understand why MW was pissed in that last story. OP may have found her annoying and unable to do what she wanted but that's not MW's fault either. She WAS getting screwed over by somebody. The insurance was doing her a dirty by missing the navigation system and paying out less than the car was worth. If they decided the car was totalled they should have gotten her a new car or paid off the entire debt which is a bog standard. Instead they screwed her by not wanting to pay out the 13k (less than the car was worth) and cheap out by offering her 10k. All this over 3k which is a drop in the bucket for insurance companies.
Totaled Car Story: If this happened in Canada or the USA, if MW or her Husband drove that car off the lot with no door and a bent frame rail, OP should have called 911 and reported an unsafe vehicle being driven on a public road...As far as I understand it, once a main frame rail (the 2 pieces that run the length of the car and have the ENTIRE car attached to them) is bent, the car is no Street Legal anymore and can't be Legally driven on a Public Road/Highway...nor can a car be Legally driven if it's missing a door... The Police would have pulled her over REAL QUICK and given her a couple of Tickets and taken the Plates off it while telling her to call a Tow Truck because this car is NOT being driven anymore until it's been properly repaired...which isn't happening since the Insurance Company has already tagged the VIN as Totaled...
@@huntjl88 Those are Street Legal because their doors are designed to be removable, but MW's car door was NOT designed to be removable which means it's actually an important part of the Car's Occupant Safety System...
Karen buys a car with no down payment with a 7 year loan. Totals her car in within 3 years. Still upside down on her loan. Should have gotten gap insurance.
Hello RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your stories everyday. Please stay safe.🏴😁😷👍. Have a great day and a wonderful week ahead everyone
My older brother pulled an NC on me. My Flight-Attendant Landlady found him passed out in his vehicle blocking her into her driveway on her way to work. Cringe doesn't even begin to cover it. Edit, Also: Is 2nd Story #AmysBakingCompany ?
Love ya Red Wheel, best narrator. When I read $13k to repair the damage my eyebrows shot up. Even me, totally challenged on anything car, knows that exceeds the value of the car. And even her husband couldn't figure that out, wow so clueless. They had patience with her, I'd have gone nuclear way before. I'd left her wreck in the front and said you got X days to tow
Regarding the car rental segment: "After getting MW to calm down and sit down (along with the receptionist and two of my fellow estimators)" -- I can just see the four of them, one on each of her limbs.
So, bad reviews from a vindictive ex employee are bad enough but repeated false identity bad reviews are way over the line. Far to many people use bad reviews as a weapon and often try to blackmail company’s with them (I’ll leave a bad review for you if you don’t refund my money after service has been rendered or if I don’t get my way.) basically, reviews are all but worthless because of behavior like this. It was a great idea originally that got abused by people like those in this story. It’s even more sad that the writer of this story is telling the world that he’s an Ass and he’s proud of it.
That's sooooooooooooo funny. I knew A Karen (not The Karen, though), and she brayed that yeah, by acting like The Karen, people get sick of her and just give her what she wants, just to make her go away. This Karen, though, found out who is real owner of the property, and she did not like the consequences!
I love your channel and play your videos every day. But honestly, the stories are good enough without the need for the silly clickbait titles. Lately, almost no title has had a thing to do with the video. It's kind of annoying, for real. But anyway, keep those stories coming - you're fun to listen to, and I look forward to every video!
@@judycolella5554 sometimes a different perspective can make you see a different side to things. All though I do think the titles could be a little better whilst still capturing new viewers attentions so I'll give you that.
Something doesn't add up on the body shop story. The writer says he was confident the "frame rail was bent in." If he actually was an estimator, he'd know Acura's do not have frames; they are unibody. He may have been referring to a "subframe", but that's not the same thing. He also refers to the "frame" later in the video. Smells fishy to me.

Yeah, but only if you get reported and caught by police.
The car was still in pieces when OP returned the car. They must have had it towed to another shop.

Some people in this world you can never reason with. Just let them believe that their poop doesn't smell and keep it moving!!
Have you ever heard of gap insurance
