I listened to the whole dance again today on Talawa. Jah Shaka tore up Jah Tubbys! If you listen to the end of the dance (which is not on RUclips) he plays back to back dubs from The Disciples (Russ Disciple). When Shaka used to go into it, there was no stopping him. Jah Tubby’s seemed like he wasn’t sure if he was supposed to Jah Shaka or Kilimanjaro...lol. You have to show some respect when you attend a Rasta session. Fatman, Sir Coxsone, etc all went to the bashment side of reggae. Jah Shaka stayed to his roots.
Anthony Cox. Tubby’s got dealt with, Tubby’s soft. It was along time ago. Listen to the full dance to get your memory on par. Jasmine Joe (Aba Shanti who is now a Shaka impersonator) tried to diss Shaka with sound boy ‘punnany too sweet garbage, music. Don’t come with that BS when a Rasta sound play. The full session is on RUclips and you can hear Tubby’s tap out.

Aba Shanti aka Jasmin Joe trying to diss Jah Shaka because of his tunes and the way he plays; fast forward to the present time and Aba Shanti copies Jah Shaka's style...lol. Jah Tubby's tried to introduce his digital reggae pop music which died with his sound in the 90's. Jah Shaka used to run the scene; period.
@@albertlawrence3102 believe it, even Shanti has said himself Shaka was a major inspiration for him. If you listen early Shanti tapes he is chanting EXACTLY like Shaka
@@risbaw Like a high % of the heaviest roots music ever recorded it has never been released. You would need to ask one of the Tubby's crew. Any title of any of the vocal specials on here would be only a tag assigned to it by the sound system operators. Tubbys work out of Hackney for ever so long, had a very distinctive style of their own, integrated digital style drum programming with a spiritual style dub sound very early in the digital era & did so v successfully, relatively speaking (the dubs here are the pinnacle for me, but i am just one opinion) & they were always very accommodating if you were cutting dubplates there etc...
@@Bmatic Thank you very much for your answer and your information. Yes this faster drum machine snare is very distinctive and I love it.
