This is how you dodge. After it says "Beldum is preparing to attack Charizard" it will say "Attack Incoming" and three yellow lines will appear above your pokemon, that is when you swipe. You need to swipe before the lines start flashing red and yellow. The pokemon also does a "regular" move that you can't dodge where it just says "Beldum used Iron Head"
i did some experimenting of my own. idk why this is. but, i level 40 my charizard (15/15/14) and took down a beldum in about 2 minutes. i did like 20 to 30 at level 40. fast forward. i level 50 my charizard thinking it will be faster to take down. it isn't. it still takes me about 2 minutes or so to take down a beldum. ive done like 20-30 each at level 40 and 50. so idk what is going on....but it seems to me that a level 40 charizard takes down a beldum as quick as a level 50 charizard. so, anyone out there thinking of maxing your charizard. i wouldnt and save the dust.
I have noticed that for the last couole of days the beldum seem tougher to take down anyway. Im wondering if they changed them and made them slightlt more difficult. I say this because im using the exact same team, same moves, same levels everything and itsnow takingme longer than before to solo these. Its also not due to the attack boosts from the spots as i have checked this also. I would argue its still worth powering if its good becayse you will be able to use it in pvp and raids at a later date too.
Which method is faster depends on how much damage the pokemon you have does. You gain 1 energy (you dynamax at 100) for every around 0.5% damage you deal to the boss. It's a little higher on average because of the rounding rules I believe. And you get 10% energy when picking up a bubble. If your Pokémon is strong enough picking up the bubble slows you down, but if you're using throwaway pokemon to build your meter before switching into your main pokemon to dynamax, then picking up the bubbles is far faster as you're not doing much damage
It would be an interesting comparison to see you get one of your Charizards to level 50 +blast burn +level 3 max flare and see how quickly you can take one down.
I missed you on your European tour. I just flew home from Helsinki on Friday!! I really enjoyed Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo. Lots of time outdoors, lots of parks and greenspaces...plus all the water. Amazing!
Thanks Brandon - I havent been swiping left or right to pick up those items appearing next to the pokemon. I was trying to press on that item and wondering why the max meter took so long !
I guess it will be faster, if Max Fire is leveled up to level 3. And if we can reach max move faster, then I think Max Guard and Max Spirit will be useful in future when higher tier comes.
Got a shiny dynamax beldum yesterday so can't wait for December com day for the meteor mash metagross as a shiny 😅 now to find useful high stat ones if that makes a significant difference even for the dynamax raids like in regular raids and pvp
Indeed interesting how it's the same time to clear with no variable change... I think he used the same Charizard in sequence with each run only variable otherwise that might be different was if the beldum used a different fast or charge move between the dynamax raids I don't recall though 🤔 so highly accurate test if so of a solo run
i must say max battles are more easier than raids because you can heal your pokemon Unlike raids and you can fire off more than one charged attack at the boss so I like max battles more Lol
Maybe you can conclude that Dynamaxing doesn't increase the damage dealt because of all the wasted animation and timers, you get the same total damage just spamming normal attacks. But you receive less damage because no damage is dealt to you during those dynamax periods. Not great design, needs improvement.
Oh how I’d love to play, but my account was compromised in April ‘23, and because I had received 2 strikes in the past for cheating, Niantic terminated my account accusing me of violating their TOS for a third time. I cheated due to health reasons, and when I got 2 strikes I was playing the game the way it should’ve been and wouldn’t have risked a third. So whoever comprised my account got me the third strike but niantic refuse to listen or help, despite proof and a complaint against them with the better business bureau
Honestly one of the worst raid experiences in Pokémon Go. Totally doesn’t feel worth it. And that all attacks in raids happen essentially by tapping the screen, I thought it was logical to tap on that bubble to collect strike energy. I tried tapping as well as long pressing the bubble. But after seeing this video, got to know that you need to swipe the Pokémon instead (much worse method and risky when swipe response may delay and Pokémon may end up getting attacked by then). Poor execution. And why don’t these power spots come with Google Maps view? Isn’t player safety important then? How would I reach the Beldum power spot if I have to zoom in and out continuously to check if I am moving in the right direction. Looks like dynamax mode was released in a hurry and Niantic is so unconcerned about players because they know even if they blank the screen out, some mad people will go gaga over that and continue keeping the game relevant. Shameful act to be honest.
I agree, thank you to who commented the swipe....I now put that to use

I'm happy you are naming a video about this sooooo many people didn't know about it.
Oh that small attack bubble is max energy. I was wondering what it was. Thx. i solo'd and caught a hundo Beldum, CP is 558.

Let the dynamx charge move fully charge to do more damage.
What do you mean? I thought the circle loading is just like a timer not like a powerbar?
the circle is a timer to auto attack for you so you don’t sit afk. it doesn't increase your attack waiting
You are a legend Brandon ❤
I powered my Charizard up to lvl 40 and can solo with no trouble
i just noticed holding down the button when using a dynamax move increases attack a little
Thanks Brandon - I havent been swiping left or right to pick up those items appearing next to the pokemon. I was trying to press on that item and wondering why the max meter took so long !

Dang!!! I was hitting the max bubble and the charge attack button at the same time because I couldn’t figure out wtf was going on
BRANDON YOUVE HELPED ME SO MUCH. MY KIDS ENVY ME

Watching the Max Meter, it looks like the bubbles give you the same as a charge move does. So it's just like a charge move without the damage.
Trust me when I say all pokemon trainers thought you press it instead of swiping 😂
Definitely have been for days now. Literally why I searched for this video.
You can actually dodge the raid bosses attack as well.
Thank you! Now let’s inform the other Brandon Pokémon Go RUclipsr
Holy slowpoke i just came from there lol was thinking to myself these 2 bradons are literally the oppisite lmao
I'm guessing that you save some dynamax animation time and deal extra damage from it so it works out to almost the same time
Tan you should come to Charleston, SC
Started not long ago any tips on winning battles I do okay but never seem to be consistent enough and don’t have the best Pokémon for good team
Was able to get a shiny dynamax beldum today. Idk how to add picture to comments?
You have to pay 10 dollars per picture

I just power up a charizard to over 3000 cp and you can do it with one.
You ll probably notice the difference with more players
Anyone know what the best fast attack for charizard? Bc half of mine have tackle and one has air slash ….
When I log in on my Samsung Note 8, it says it is not compatible with the device. Is there any way for me to fix this situation?
Brandooon 😃

How long does it take (estimated) to solo a beldum raid?
It takes me about 3-4 min with my zard. Maxed out his move with blast burn
How tf does he have 18k charmander candy and 2m stardust!?
Yeahhhhhh
Am I the only person who finds it nearly impossible to consistently dodge incoming attacks?
ohhh yeahhhhh
Has anyone seen a glitch when trying ti fight giovanni the text “…” comes up and the game crashes ?
Update to version 0.331.1,should fix it
Always useful to save some heat points in case it gets colder outside 🤡
Hi
I bet u did this video for mystic 7🤣🤣🤣
😮
So actually easier to solo if you don't swipe to get the charge? Weird

Under 1hour gang
Under 11 minutes gang

@8:16 how did he get the research while he is in a dynamax? Is he spinning while battling??
