It's January 12,2022. I just found your video channel this week. Lovely dog. I'm enjoying catching up on past videos. Your new fan, the 60 year old lady from Indiana USA.
What a time you guys must of had!! You know there’s nothing like a good hunting trip with a great buddy that’s got the same mindset. Wind rain snow and fog doesn’t seem to matter when you’re having that much fun hunting but that makes going back to a warm camp and a good meal of salt fish and potatoes that much more enjoyable. Great hunt!! Thanks for taking us along!! Take care and God bless!!👍🏻
Excellent watch once again Chuck! Thank goodness for you're channel! Always look forward to my cup of tea and Everything Outdoors! P.s. I have couple more tracks recorded! And I have my Everything Outdoors hoddy and Wendy has her apron!
Another wonderful video we does some much laughing when you get excited we sure miss willow she is a beautiful dog stay safe until the next one cal & vera
Partridge hunting is a great passion of mine and this day was most likely the best day we’ve ever experience hunting. I look forward to going back again for sure.
Well that qnd quite the hunt Chuck ....we don't have ptarmigan where I and here in northern Ontario but we have a lot of ruffled and spruce grouse....it was a great video...thanks for sharing👍
Nothing like a good ole partridge hunt for sure Reginald. We hiked about 20k that day. Felt good to get back to camp and made supper taste even better👍
Absolutely bud. We mentioned you a couple of times. It was a great trip overall. Ps. Got my new GoPro a couple days ago. Looking forward to giving it a try
We have the same thing happen in Ontario. Seems like when deer and moose seasons end, everyone turns off hunting but we still have another month of ruffed and spruce grouse hunting left. Thanks for reminding me to get outside and enjoy...a little late season partridge hunting lol
I agree 100% David. When I do hunt spruce grouse, it’s early in the fall. Once the snow comes they feed primarily on the spruce tips and thus the taste changes dramatically
Great video and lots of Partridge. I spent most of my hunting over the years at the Gaff Topsail. Another great area to hunt. Never know might see you sometime at the Gaffs.
We were actually heading there at first and literally decided to head to the buchans plateau last minute. I’m glad we went there. I’ve never seen such great numbers
It’s a great experience. We have taken a dog with us in the past but Mark’s dog is older now and we walked 20 km that day so it would have been too much for her. Great way to pass a day or two tho👍
That's some great hunt there Chuck. Must of been some cold. We finally got snow last night. Four inches and minus 10. Had to put the plow on the honda this morning. Thanks for sharing, great time hunting with you.
Lol. It was really really cold in the tops of those hills especially! There are times my face went numb and it was hard to even talk! Lol. It was a great trip though. The weather was cold but my memories are warm👍
Super hunting trip Chuck ! lots of birds nothing better exept no Willow haha my Frankie would be pissed at me lol , what # shot ya using and that A5 is a sweet gun i had used one for a little while beautiful gun to nice to take out hunting so i traded off on a Citori o/u i was heavy into trap back then , cant believe how close you guys got to that hare !
We were using #7.5 shot primarily. Just the cheapest ones we could find at Walmart for 100 in a box. I just bought the A5 and am loving it! I had a browning Gold for the last 20 years but that one had seen it’s day and failing quite a bit. Ps. Willow was pretty happy upon my return home!
What type of ammo/choke did you use for this hunt , and I also have a browning A5 exact same as yours , was wondering if your A5 won’t shoot the cheaper shells to? Thanks
Improved cylinder for choke. Can’t recall exactly, but I believe it was either #6 or #8 shot. Mine cycled the cheaper shells on this trip. However, it was brand new at the time. I’ve owned semi-autos for about 30 years, and what you’re describing about the cheaper shells happens to all of them. Especially when the gun gets a little dirty, or it’s cold outside. It’s gears for larger (waterfowl) shells, so the cheaper shells can only just cut it
Man that looks fun and I bet they cooked up nice. Great video as always. I recognize the airport in Deer Lake, been there about 4 times now. Hoping to go back summer of 2022 for some cod fishing.
Hahaha. Bring the editor, I have the luxury of cutting out all my misses!! Lol!! (Truth is he really is an exceptional shot) Tks for the chuckle buddy. Merry cmas to you👍🎄
Yes I’m sure there are plenty of our crowd up your way who would have left for work and made their lives thereafter. Ontario is beautiful. Been there many times and always look forward to visiting again👍

Well that qnd quite the hunt Chuck ....we don't have ptarmigan where I and here in northern Ontario but we have a lot of ruffled and spruce grouse....it was a great video...thanks for sharing👍
Ruffed grouse are my favourite game bird of them all. We got a few while I was in NS hunting a few weeks back. Tks rob 👍
Good trip with ya buddy, some nice birds for the pot!!
Yes sir. Stews and soups are the favourite, followed by a good ole stir fry. Hope all is well bud👍

Absolutely bud. We mentioned you a couple of times. It was a great trip overall.
Ps. Got my new GoPro a couple days ago. Looking forward to giving it a try
Hey Chuck, great bit of fun with the birds eh? Love them and the grouse esp bottled!
I’ve bottled ruffed grouse and enjoyed them. Bottled a few ptarmigan as well. Absolutely love them 👍
Nice shooting boys!! Lots of good eating there.
Tks Todd buddy👍
Awesome video Chuck. I was out today and bagged myself 2 partridges. Got soaked (wet) in the process lol but still good fun.
Awesome Steve. That’s my “normal” amount of birds to get in any given day. Maybe none some days. That’s why this trip stood out so much 👍
Wow now that’s a rare sight I’ve never seen one in Newfoundland great video Chuck some great hunting 👍
Thanks bud. It really was a great thing to see. I certainly won’t forget it👍👍
Great shooting!
Tks Dominic 👍

You too bud. Tks for tuning in👍
Another enjoyable hunting trip Mr Porter still trying to figure out where you guys are hiding the palm trees
Haha!!! Although there are no palm trees it does feel like we were in paradise!! Thanks mr Porter!!👍
@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors I agree no palm trees in Paradise
Some good grub on da go there! Great hunt.
Tks Darrell buddy👍👍
Another great video Chuck! Enjoyed watching this hunt and the beautiful countryside you guys hunt in. Great job and nice shooting!
Tks Chris 👍
Super video here we hunt Ruffed Grouse, when I was working in the north we would get Spruce Grouse - not as tastey as the Ruffed.
I agree 100% David. When I do hunt spruce grouse, it’s early in the fall. Once the snow comes they feed primarily on the spruce tips and thus the taste changes dramatically
Great video that was a lot of fun . Never knew that there was Artic hare on the island
They are so very rare George. I certainly won’t forget that I saw this one. A great memory 👍
thank you for the video...I`m unable to hunt any more...getting old I live vicariously through you
Well I appreciate you tuning in Mike. Thanks my friend 👍

Man what a great trip. Awesome area. Cheers!
Tks jim 👍
What a great trip. I used to hunt a lot on the mountains for partridge on the West Coast before I moved away. Never saw that many birds
The last time I hunted here I only saw about 7-8 birds. This time 100. It was an epic day for sure. Tks Rene 👍
Good stuff. I have never hunted partridge

It’s actually quite warm here now. I put up my Christmas lights today in the rain! It’s +2! I hope the snow comes soon. Itching to get out in my tent
Chuck the win must've been blowing very hard because you're face was red or you are very shy 😀👍🏻have a good hunt take care
Lol. It was really really cold in the tops of those hills especially! There are times my face went numb and it was hard to even talk! Lol. It was a great trip though. The weather was cold but my memories are warm👍

Already watching !!!
Tks Gracin my buddy👍👍
Great hunt! I’m at the grouse to know but their scarce - deep fried ruff grouse fingers the best !
Really? I’ve never tried that but it sounds delicious!!!

The buchans plateau is a GREAT place to hunt!
I couldn’t agree more. That’s twice for me now and I will return👍
Looks like good hunting . Is there a difference between a artic hare and a snow shoe hare?
Yes they are two different species. The Arctic hare is about double the size and weight of a snowshoe hare.
You should of took Mark skeet shooting first, lol. looks like you guys had lots of fun!
Hahaha. Bring the editor, I have the luxury of cutting out all my misses!! Lol!! (Truth is he really is an exceptional shot)
Tks for the chuckle buddy. Merry cmas to you👍🎄

First time watching. Won’t be my last! I am now a subscriber.
Thnaks Brian bud. Glad to have you along👍
What do they taste like???
They taste similar to rabbit (if you know what that tastes like lol). A dark, red meat that’s delicious in soups, stews and stir fry’s
cool my son :)
Tks Roger 👍
@@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors Thank You My Son ! :) Stay Safe :)
