L’Ombre means The Shadow 😊. I love all the extra cards she chose....it’s so clear from this deck how tuned in Melissa is to the tarot community because I honestly feel like this deck is perfect in how it was produced and she did such an incredible job maintaining the integrity of the artwork while adapting it for tarot. I’m obsessed with this one!!
I loved hearing your thoughts on this deck! I received mine today and it’s everything I expected it to be. I love the evocative images, the linen cardstock is reader friendly (I need a good riffle shuffle lol), and a simple guidebook that fits in the box but also explains the creator’s artistic choices. One of my biggest pet peeves is getting a guidebook for a deck with images that stray from the traditional images of whatever that system is without a look into the artist’s reasons for depicting the cards as they did. It doesn’t need to be much, a little blurb will do. I don’t want yet another guidebook with basic cards meanings, I want to know what makes the artist tic, what inspires them. In my opinion, Melissa did a great job touching on that and still keeping the book small. All in all, I’m super happy with the deck. Now I just have to decide on what color to edge it... maybe a blue to match the back of the cards. 🤗 🙏🏼
I backed this project on Kickstarter - the deck is wonderful! I haven't worked with it yet, I'm saving it for the autumn and winter season, as I feel that's when I'll be able to connect with it most ❤️
Lisa, I"m still uncertain as to how I feel about this deck. I saw another walkthrough and felt I needed to order because of its limitation and the possibility of missing out later. FOMO made me do it. But, the deck has such a melancholy feel to it, I wonder how I might feel working with it, and whether or not it might just amplify feelings of depression in me. It is symbol-laden, but it appears to me that the highlight of the deck is the amazing array of color represented - lots of oohs and aahs. I feel safe in ordering it, as, if I find it doesn't resonate with me, I am certain that it will be a sought-after collectable in the future, where it won't have trouble finding a new home.
Thank you Lisa for sharing, and always making time to respond to my questions here and when I message you using my blessedrootprovisions IG account. Your contributions have been a huge influence on my path. Enjoying your book! 💖
I can't do spiders either... I get it completely. wow a lot of this is spot on- I've found often that the images impressed upon the tarot via existing art doesn't go well, I can like the art, but it doesn't always fit. Thanks for sharing.
Hello and thank you for sharing. I am looking to buy this beautiful tarot that is no longer available on Etsy. Do you sell yours or do you know someone who would sell it? Régine

Every deck she has made is high quality, and gorgeous. I'm excited to see what she makes next.
