I got a sample of this as a present and, smelling it from the bottle, I liked it but thought I would never wear it, as it was not exactly my kind of perfume. The first feel was a bit harsh to me. Yet, as I do with all perfumes I feel I should give a chance, I decided to wear it and see what happens. Well, it so happened that I loved it on my skin. I am a lucky one, it lasts long enough (actually, the sample lasted more than any other sample I ever wore). This impression, however, needs an extra note: usually, when we think a perfume does not last it is just because it becomes like a second skin (meaning we rapidly become familiar, even intimate with it and do not perceive it as separate from our natural, clean smell). I insist on this because, sometimes, that is the reason why we pour too much perfume on our skin, which can be really disturbing for anyone around us and, honestly, has the opposite effect to the image of elegance and sophistication a good perfume should project. Going back to this one: had I read the mix, I would have never tried it. Honestly, I avoid fruity scents (apart from, maybe, grapefruit and the orange verte of Hermes) as much as I can and I feel aggressed by the excessively fruity new ones (that give me the feeling of wearing bubble gum on my skin). Give it a chance. Irrespective of the individual ingredients, the final feel of this is that of a good quality and rather distinctive feminine mix, wearable daily with a smile on your face. It is not girlish (thank God, as I am no spring chicken), but feminine. Flirty? Possibly, as it is not necessarily the good-girl-at-the-church kind of fragrance (to me, that would be a very light, soapy or spring floral scent). I was very pleasantly surprised by this one, I must say. I am happy it has good reviews, as I hope it would last on the market.
I got this as a gift for a friend of mine. I also smelled this at my local Macy’s and at first, I thought it reminded me of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre a bit. I get more floral than fruity from the opening but it balances out in the mid. To me this is definitely more special than the man counterpart as you pointed out for sure. This one makes a great gift. Also, the presentation is amazing!!
Love when you two collaborate. Can always tell when Mr. Powell isn’t really digging a particular fragrance and this one doesn’t seem to be a favourite judging from his body language.

How does this compare to Aventus For Her which I would describe as a fruity floral?
Aventus is much fruitier with more of an emphasis on the musk and black currant. This one is also much more subtle compared to Aventus for her.
