Thank you very much! 6 years have passed and this heart is still relevant, your lesson is the best, I got it right the first time. Thank you, thank you, thank you dear!
A classic for me...love the shape...and your video tutorials are so good - clear, to-the-point.....hoping for more of your videos for simple, elegant shapes!
You are a wonderful teacher. Your demonstration of increases and decreases in the peyote stitch is so easy to follow. I love peyote stitch but have always found the increase/decrease intimidating. Thank you!
Wow, what a clear and EASY to follow tutorial!!! I have only been doing peyote stitch for about a month now...and I saw these hearts and fell in love. I just made my first one and it came out perfect! I just jumped right in and didn't use the red beads for my first one at all and the heart came out wonderful due to your excellent tutorial. THANK YOU!
Very nice open heart peyote pattern,I will try to make this .Very relaxing to accomplished something and same time you are learning.Thank you for sharing us this video.
Wow you are truly an artist. My birthday is February 14th so I'll be making a pair of these in red for myself. I'm also thinking about making a pair for my sister and my sister-in-law in their favorite colors purple and green. I hadn't seen your channel before but I am subscribing. Thank you!
Seed Bead Bliss, I've just subscribed. This was a great tutorial & really pretty hearts. You explain everything very well, without all the unnecessary talking. Whether or not I think I can succeed in making any of your projects, you're worth the watch. Thanks! Now on to your next video.
I love this heart. I have been using the 'k' on my keyboard to pause the video and allow me to take notes. Also, on the zipping row, I went to full screen to see in detail the decrease at the top of the heart. I am so looking forward to making this heart. Just an aside, the video jumps At about 24:37. Excellent video, thank you for the time that you put in to share this with all of us. Now, back to the video, I want to find out about larger hearts, I see an excellent opportunity to do floral patterns on those. SQUEEE!!!
This lovely 3D heart shape is another fun project from you that I’ve enjoyed learning. I hope you come back soon with more exciting beaded bliss lessons. You have excellent teaching skills and I love hearing your clock ticking in the background. Blessings to you.
Thank you! These are beautiful and just in time for Valentine's Day! Really appreciate your clear and concise instructions. Love that you used 2 different colors to explain because that made it easy for someone like me!
I love this. I have gotten all the way thru the 3 sets of 2. I am making them all pink. But I may go back and add red in the corner like you have. It stands out more. I always make a hand written directions for my note book. I make a bead notebook. I have printed and hand written patterns.
Thanks so much for working out these lovely hearts and sharing...by far the prettiest and most fluid I've tried out... with very clear and easy to follow instructions..thanks again .C 🌻❤️
Love this design - I like how you added different colors at the curves and down the sides. The heart looks outlined! I will share on my blog (beadinggem) in the near future so others can come learn!
Love this! I would love to see another video tutorial of an even bigger and wider heart if you would please. You make such beautiful things I love them all! Thank you so much!
I've beaded a lot of hearts and this ine is truly my favorite! Thank you so much for playing around with the increases and decreases. It's an enjoyable heart to work on. 😊😁
This is the most beautyful tutorial I've seen so far (EVER), you give us love with those hearts and I'll give you much love back, I wish I could do 10 tumbs up! GREAT thanks BB.
Hi! Thanks you for this tutorial I am making one as a birthday gift for my daughter. The difficult passages, the decrease at the top middle and increase at the bottom were the hardest to follow. At my first attempt I broke a bead and had to start over but that time the result was better. Those hearts are really cute :-)
Great tutorial, really like the design, would also like the tutorial for that red and gold heart at the end of the video where it looks like another heart is at the top in the center. could you link the video for that to this page please? thanks.
I love your hearts. The pattern is simply, however I'm new to this type of beading and don't know the terminology, I'm completely lost. Do you have a video for beginners?
I love your work, it is beautiful! Would they come out just as nice with regular seed beads. I may try just to see how it come out. Thanks for the tutorial, I just did a heart.
So I was inspired by this tutorial and one by Kelly Dale to make an actual oval!! Thanks it was a quick fun project. I wish I could upload a pic in the comments for you to see.
I have a question at about 10 minutes in (the second increase); why add 3 red beads over the 2 red beads. Instead, can you do 1 red, go through the first of the 2 red beads in the prior row, do 1 red bead, go through the 2nd red in the prior row, do another red, and continue with the blues?
Hello first of all thank you very much for sharing this beautiful tutorial; I only have one question: if I wanted to make a smaller heart, I decrease the number of accounts by 12 and how could I make the curve? I wish you could help me! I understand that the other option for a smaller heart would be accounts size 15/0 😅 but it is not my idea, blessings for you!
Thank you so much for this, your instructions are really calm and clear. I made a couple with some pretty 15/0 Tohos I had left over from another project and they came out beautifully. I find it difficult working with such long pieces of thread and had to cut and rejoin on the first one, so for the second one I started in the middle of my thread and instead of working the thread back to the centre I finished off the thread at the outside, turned the heart over and worked the other side with the tail. It worked for me but the long tail did keep getting in my way at first :D Could I ask if you have any tips for avoiding knots?
Hi there! You didn't say what kind of thread you are using. I tend to use KO or Miyuki beading threads, which are pre-waxed and silky so have fewer problems with knotting. I avoid Nymo, which has to be stretched and conditioned. I'll bet this pattern looked great with 15s! You could always use a separate thread for each side so they wouldn't have to be so long. :-)
Thanks, it was Nymo, I conditioned it, but probably didn't stretch it properly, rookie mistake 😁. I'll get some KO and try that, it sounds easier. They do look lovely, I've had lots of compliments on my new earrings.
Thank you very much for sharing your video, very clear instructions awesome !! All I have are seed beads, can I use them in this pattern ? I know you said delica beads, but I cant find them where I live. Thank you very much, hope to hear from you soon. From, Brenda Freeman
Hello Leslie, you are very talented! This is the best tutorial of a beaded heart I have ever seen. I do have a question though. Do you have to use Delicas? Love your work and look forward to more videos.
Thank you for your feedback--I appreciate it! I definitely think this pattern would work with regular seed beads--you might even get more of a rounded effect. Go ahead and try it!! :-)
I would love to see it! I don't know if you can post it here (I can't figure out how to post photos in this comment section), but definitely post it on my FB page (Seed Bead Bliss).
Thank you for the tutorial, this is the best heart shape I've seen. I'm going to start stitching them up, but what color are those light grey Delicas, in the hearts that sit on the table? They're such a beautiful shimmery color for jewelry!
Love this tutorial, but not used to working from a video. Just about to frog it again! I am struggling with the inner point of the heart, just can't get it right.
I'm having trouble with my first inside row. Cant get the beads in under where the increases are. I thought I made it too tight but even loosening it doesn't help.
I was having the same issue, but i laid them on top and they are supposed to curve up...they will eventually all fall into place. Keep the tension tight.
I've tried peyote without much luck. Your tutorial is so easy to follow. Can't wait to try these. I love hearts. Thank you for this great tutorial.
Thank you very much! 6 years have passed and this heart is still relevant, your lesson is the best, I got it right the first time. Thank you, thank you, thank you dear!

I love this heart pattern. I’m not a very experienced beader, but I was able to make these with no problems at all. Thank you!
I couldn't and I can do peyote!!!
Wow, what a clear and EASY to follow tutorial!!! I have only been doing peyote stitch for about a month now...and I saw these hearts and fell in love. Love your videos. You explain everything so wonderfully. Would love to see this same technique used to make a large teardrop shape!
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. I will think about the teardrop--would have to be figured out!
You are very skilled....im manic about being able to see each bead get sewn on. I struggled at mid top point...going in n coming out..
I've beaded a lot of hearts and this ine is truly my favorite! Thank you so much for playing around with the increases and decreases. It's an enjoyable heart to work on. 😊😁

Hi. Thanks much for teaching us the beautiful art. I did the heart with 11/0 and that how it came out. I love it.
I wanna send you a picture of my heart ❤️ earring that I learned from you. I could not do it in here.
Thank you so much. I love this heart. You are a good teacher and go slow and don't block the beads with your hands.😉
My Ma was just asking me if I could make hearts. Being a beginner to seed beading I was unsure, so Thank You for this.
Took me several tries but finally got it. Thanks!
I love these..I got further this time. I'm thinking of doing 2 each of 5 rows n locking them together? Jan

Дуже дякую,все зрозуміло❤️
I found that 4 lb. fireline works great.
Hello first of all thank you very much for sharing this beautiful tutorial; I only have one question: if I wanted to make a smaller heart, I decrease the number of accounts by 12 and how could I make the curve? Thank you very much for sharing your video, very clear instructions awesome !!

I know you said delica beads, but I cant find them where I live.
Thank you very much, hope to hear from you soon.
From, Brenda Freeman
Hi Brenda, you can totally use seed beads for this! Have fun with it and good luck, Leslie
Watch the lady on here from off the beaded path.excellent instruction and visual
I have made around to the increase’s in the center. Does not lay like yours. Mine look sort of bunched up
A video of a bigger size would be great. X
Great tutorial! Thanks!!😍😍👌
I will and if it is ok, I'll show you my heart. Thank you so much!
I would love to see it! I don't know if you can post it here (I can't figure out how to post photos in this comment section), but definitely post it on my FB page (Seed Bead Bliss).

I think its #107--one of my faves.
Can you do a tutorial on red a silver one not exactly sure about curvey inside part
Where I lose it is on needle placement
MY name is Asna.I am 11 years old and I like your earrings
I can’t wait to try this one!
Love this tutorial, but not used to working from a video. Just about to frog it again! I am struggling with the inner point of the heart, just can't get it right.
Great instructions.
hi I love the hearts and stars. I just want to know can you make a wider heart just like you did the star wider for a bigger one?
Hmmm I’m not sure. I’m sure the proportions can be changed-just haven’t tried it myself. I’ll have to think about that one 🤔
Gave up after 2nd atrempt. Theres parts where i cant clearly see particularly at point at top between 2 top curves...
Would you believe I only picked up 2 beads instead of 3? I don’t believe I did that. Just going back rewatching the video.
Thank you Leslie!!
You are welcome!! :-)
Tomorrow will be my 5th go...lol.....but im getting it....😂
I'm having trouble with my first inside row. Cant get the beads in under where the increases are. I thought I made it too tight but even loosening it doesn't help.
I was having the same issue, but i laid them on top and they are supposed to curve up...they will eventually all fall into place. Keep the tension tight.
