Wingun actually based this replica on a Polish version of the nagant revolver, the reason being is that the sight is concave just like the Polish version had. The Soviet Nagant had a rectangular sight.
This is replica of original 1895 year Nagant, when it was no Soviet yet and was Russian Empire, where Poland was just part of it. This revolver was accepted for official service and was manufactured with half-round sight (earlier) and exactly same as on replica (cut out). So you can not call it Polish version.
The rod is to push out cartridges one at a time. The cylinder is non removable. The m95 is a gas seal revolver the cylinder pushes forward sealing the gap allowing for a higher velocity the m95 is the only surpresable revolver in the world damn near
Abradolf Lincler not the only, there were other companies wich made other gas sealed revolvers....BUT the nagant m1895 is the most common and succesful model
You can take out the cylinder and thus load quicker. The 'little rod' is pulled out, but there is an additional safety feature here. You need to pull out the axis of the cylinder. And then you can push the drum out and load.
I'm sorry if that is an incredibly dumb question. I've been trying to educate myself on some rudimentary gunsmithing. Am I supposed to use a tap to cut some threads in the barrel? How do I know what size tap to use and that the threads I cut will be the proper width for the adapter?? Did you use this adapter: EMG / AW Custom / WE / TM Threaded Adapter for GBB Pistol Outer Barrels?
That is the adapter I used, and I didn’t need to use a tap to thread the inner muzzle threads. The muzzle metal was softer than the adapter metal and the adapter cut its own threads when I screwed it in.
You say that you used a WE barrel insert to attach the 14mm adapter. I can't find any information about a WE barrel insert. Please, do you think you could give me a link to what that is?
the rod under the barrel is for the shells that don't eject. After like 20 shots, the barrel and cylinder became hot and the shells didn't eject as well, so you had the rod to push the shot ones out (don't use your fingers, the cylinder is hot and it is a small space.
I just need a little more detail on how you got that threaded piece attached. I am a complete novice at modifying stuff like this. I clearly heard everything you said in the video, but I still have no idea. I can't find any information elsewhere.
to lower the fps just trim the hammer spring down, I had the 357 magnum and stock it shot about 500fps but I removed about 7mm of spring and then re-stretched the remainder to fit and the fps dropped down to 345fps on the dot,
I bought myself a Webley and machined shotgun shells from brass, and they work fine (you can adjust the FPS nicely by enlarging the valve hole). Giving a nice 5 shot grouping at about 15 meters. I know you can get them 3d printed everywhere as well! Maybe an idea for your Nagant?
Hi. I have a question about how long the revolver lasts before lanyard ring failure/gas seal failure. I have had two of these replicas. They start out fine. But I've never shot more than 240 rounds before the revolver becomes US. Has anyone had the same experience? Is there any advice out there? Thank you reading this far.
I've ordered the Gletcher version, as it seems to be of better quality. In addition to my firearms habit, now I am acquiring airgun versions where possible. The Nagant 1895 is quite a pleasant revolver to shoot. It's interesting to compare the nagant 1895 and the Colt 1873. Both pistols operate in basically the same fashion (1873 is SA only of course) but the Nagant is a much more compact and ergonomic pistol. Partizan 7.62 x 38R isn't usually hard to find online, altho it's dirty ammo and I recommend Fiocci if you can get it.
inaccurate at 75 feet shoots hot (450 fps) dude, those aren't weaknesses - those are strengths (at least in my opinion) shots with handguns based on my operational experience with GBB's take place near point blank ranges and about 5-10 meters away. 75 feet? too far away, might as well use your primary LOL shoots hot? shoot with heavier ammo! instead of 20's why not use 30's? personally i'm going to get one or two for the sheer psychological terror it can wield - in my country many airsofters wield 400 fps and above weapons, and equally common are those zombies who continually ignore hits. BUT if they get shot at close range with a 500 fps handgun, they'd have no choice but to call it - no one wants to get shot multiple times with such a fine weapon. plus, many would actually hesitate to engage you simply because they will get hurt when they are on the business end of this gun... in my opinion, based on your review, it's a very well suited weapon to our environment.
75' away is poor range for most airsoft pistols. 450 FPS is too hot for any airsoft pistol. Using heavier ammo doesn't make it more safe, you still have a high joule output which can and will cause injury. If you have people how calling hits, you need to play with new people, not shoot them with unsafe replicas.
Man that's kind of sad that you don't know what an ejector rod is on a revolver. The nagant is a gate loaded revolver just like the Colt model of 1873. Yes it is slow to load, but it is a very handy compact and sweet shooting little gun in 7.63
I dont but metal bb's in airsoft guns I was just curious if it would screw up the gun or just brake for this specific gun because the Gletcher version says only to use metal bb's but that gun has some few little differences
I'm so going to get this gun it would fit my load out well with my Redfire mosin I just got. That and my src tt33. I wish there would be more extra shells available for sale though.
I realize this vid is old but you didn't get anything right. The cylinder can come out everything in this gun is made to the specs of a real Nagant you should learn about your revolver before talking about it. I own one of these it does come apart so before you do a video you need to learn about the gun that you're talking about. Not impressed I hope you got better if you decided to do more. By the way this is a replica pistol.
Dont know if wingun and gun heaven nagants are the same (Sure do look the same) but here is how I downgraded the gun Downgrade of the Nagant M1895 Gun Heaven Now it shoot about 90m/s (Video is not mine)
Not everyone wants this gun for airsoft. If that is what you want go and find yourself a 6 mm plastic bb gun where you can see the rounds in the air. . For my use in mounted skill at arms competitions 450 fps at 10 M in 4.5mm steel BB is perfect. This presentation is very limited in its view of what you would want this weapon for. I think you will find this isn't 'made' by Wingun but Gletcher. But 'it is what it is'! lol
do you know if this nagant has hop up? I would like to buy it and shoot with 6mm aluminum BBs. Do you know if these BBs would damage the barrel or the hop up if it is there?
It is possible, gif you push the the bb too hard in, the plastic filler will fall out and you just need to do she cutting and putting it back it. Remeber it's hard to find replacement shells, so I woulnt do that.
Yes, it's a Belgian design, as was the primary Soviet rifle- the Moisin-Nagant. These were built at Tula and Tukachevskii Aresnals, first for the Tsarist, then the Soviet Russians. The Soviets employed the Nagant Revolver from 1892 to until the 1950's in service, and in competition through the end of the Soviet Union. There are some Chinese examples as well. Soviet originals can chamber and fire .32 SW long, as well as use replacement cylinders for .32 ACP (7.65 ) caliber.
Yes the design was done by a Belgian (Leon Nagant), However Czar Nicolas was so impressed by the gun he commissioned them for the Imperial Russain Army (Ironically he was executed by one) but after the rise of the bolsheviks and the formation of the USSR they took over primary makers of the M1895 for the rest of its existence. More on that despite being mostly outdated and practically replaced by the Tokarev It was still a very commonly used revolver in the USSR and even in some of those countries till recently. As far as the revolver is concerned it's rep as a Soviet gun is not unwarned.
Damn its been 4 years. I still got it, covered in mud and is needing to replace the rubber seals on it. Good gun, not very competitive unless you shoot very accurately.
You get around 50 shots to a gas bulb,, give or take 10, YOU SHOULD NEVER LEAVE A BULB IN LONGER THAN YOUR SHOOTING SESSION SAY 2 HOURS, left in longer it damages the seals.
Just checked, and the ejection rod does in fact work just like the real one!

If you are familiar with BF1
That rod is used as cartridge ejector and also for removing the whole cylinder
Airlift muzzle attachments do affect the bb, longer inner barrel, amplification and yes it can also be used to silence your shot

Yes

fair enough... risk of injury too high. i wonder if there is some way to tinker with the discharge valve to lessen the FPS somehow.

Do all Win Gun revolvers use the same-sized shells?
You have to rotate the rod under the barrel, then you pull out the metal tube holding the cylinder in the revolver
Does it come with a threaded barrel? Need it to fit a pvc pipe for a movie prop
Do they make one with a threaded barrel*
Well it's more like a imperial russian than a soviet revolver... And it saw much more use in the russian civil war than in ww1.
Each time he says "it is what it is" take a shot of Vodka
That adapter says 14mm negative threads. does that mean you screwed it into the gun CCW?
That rod is for ejecting the cartridges as in the real nagant the casings don't jut fall out.
the barrel rotates and the ride is for pushing out the shells
It’s not Soviet, but, yes it is Soviet because it was used mostly in the time but was made in the Russian empire
