Thank you for this clear visually explained demonstration of a homogeneous and heterogeneous mixture. My chem teacher does not know how to explain things very well, considering he had just learned the subject of chemistry over the past summer break so I appreciated this.
Your videos are super helpful thank you so much !!!! I sat in class for one hour and I understood nothing, I watched this for five minutes and I understood right away !
You made it so easy. I never learned chemistry in Highschool. All the kids failed my teachers class but the teacher was forced to pass us because he’d get fired otherwise. He was very quick and mean to those of us who didn’t already understand. Now I’m in college and I literally cry about it because I don’t get it! But now I get it! 😭🙏🏾💕✨ THANK YOU!
I've said in another comment but ill say it again because i can't believe i was able to understand THIS in 5 minutes as to what took me a year in college, i even failed chemistry because i couldn't understand it but now this video, these videos YOURE SO AWESOME AND THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELP OTHER STUDENTS WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY IN SCIENCE AND MATH. please have a great wonderful day :)
My daughter did not understand her teacher, but I searched a lot and found you, and told her to watch you several times, and she understood. Thank you.
Excellent video, very helpful, thank you! I wanted to add a little thought. According to my college chemistry textbook (Kotz and Treichel) blood, for example, is a heterogenous mixture because if you look at it in microscope you can see different types of cells and other components. It also gives milk as an example of a heterogeneous mixture, saying "Milk appears smooth in texture to the unaided eye, but magnification would reveal fat and protein globules within the liquid." So according to Kotz and Treichel, what the substance "looks like" includes considering optical magnification, and to be truly homogenous you have to consider down to the particular level. So, what do y'all think, should substances like blood and milk be considered heterogeneous, as my college textbook says, because you can see different components through a microscope? Who agrees or disagrees? Homogenous and heterogenous mixtures have always bothered me because in my mind there is a degree of arbitrariness.
Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for explaining/showing/analyzing the difference between Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Mixtures in Ap/General Chemistry. This is an error free video/lecture on RUclips TV with the Organic Chemistry Tutor.

If we keep on adding sugar in water after certain time sugar particle will be visible to us in water now is it a Hetrogenius mixture or Homogenius mixture?
At 1:21 ,you alluded that a mixture is a combination of two or more substances. However when you look at the definition of a type of mixture, specifically a homogeneous mixture,it is a mixture whose composition is the same throughout.I find it hard to understand these two definitions as they contradict each other.😕
What would you consider the colloidal mixtures to be? I would consider them homogeneous because of the complete dispersion of the particles. Thank you for the lesson!
I had to watch it over again. I just went to a new school and there learning about this vs my old school there focused on dense and Matter. This is helping me catch up. Thank you.
What about something like clay in water that starts homogenous but slowly becomes heterogenous over long periods of time? Would it be only heterogenous? Or either just depending on the state of mixture?

If we keep on adding sugar in water after certain time sugar particle will be visible to us in water now is it a
Hetrogenius mixture or
Homogenius mixture?
If you can see two or more visible particles, then it’s heterogeneous. So probably the answer is heterogeneous.
heterogeneous mixture because the particles are visible to us
