You are correct! Their songs, especially this album, isn't just talking about a love story though it is what can be seen in the lyrics. This also pertains to them as a kpop girl group, following the standards of everything so that their fans will love and support them. But then again this album goes from this until they found their self love.
In fact, according to Soyeon, the album is made to be listened from track 6 to 1 😇. It's a trip from a bad love story in X-File, to the lifesaving self love of Nude.
“Sculpture” is one of my favorite songs from the album.
The music is composed by Minnie ❤, and she wrote the lyrics along with Soyeon. I think Houdini also contributed.

you can react to (G)I-DLE's "I Burn" album I'm sure all the songs on the album are good
following the message of the songs in the album, I think to further understand thw flow is to listen it backwards from the order of the songs. from xfile to nxde. from being broken amd depressed to fully loving yourself and accepting who you really are not afraid to show your true self.
the lyrics of the chorus together with that upbeat melody really made the song sadder, like someone still tries to be happy and put on a smile even its very painful
I'm more along the lines of this being about the relationship between kpop and it's fans. Again, when listening to the songs in reverse order, we start with this attitude and work our way to the attitude of "Fck this. I don't need your love. I just need my own love and respect".
I love this song because the song is so good yet so horrible (on purpose)
It makes clearer how wrong it is to smile when we should not, how wrong it is to not be ourselves, and how hard it is actually realise that, because we may think if we do for someone else is necessarily a good thing (but if it is against ourselves it is actually not a good thing)

i love that you guys are reacting to gidle, they are my favorite girl group, but i wanted to make a suggestion, i saw you guys saying that you don’t see often artists talking about self love, and i really wanted to suggest you guys to check bts’s albums. they are top tier, they are my favorite artists, i’ve been a fan of a lot o artists but i never saw such deep lyricism and variety of genres. they are just incredible, and they are the only ones that talk most about important subjects, such as mental health, self love, self discovery, self development, and even psychoanalysis. they have a trilogy of albums about self love, it’s called love yourself (her, tear, answer), and a lot of albums. and my favorite ever that is literally inspired by the book map of the soul by carl jung, its just genius, like all of their albums has a lot of references, and inspirations of books, poems, psychology, but unfortunately you miss a lot if you don’t check the lyrics on doolset, its an army site, she translates everything. all of bts’s albums and their solo projects. and its so cool because if there’s a context of reference, or a wordplay (since we have 3 rappers and they do that a lot), she always writes that too). so i really recommend.
i recommend every album, they have a lot haha, but i recommend first Map of the soul 7; Love Yourself Trilogy; You never walk alone; Dark & Wild.
