- After a very difficult first day on 1.08, I ended up with a Ghillie suit in Elektro town centre cos there was nobody anywhere else. It turned me to the dark side!

I'm still quite new to the game, but I've had it since release date on Xbox One... I found the official servers to be rather difficult.
One of my best playthroughs was me spawning near that Kamensk Summer camp (I'm still learning the map... It's a very different game to what I'm use to)... I found my first ever gun which was a mosin and some hunting gear. I was genuinely happy.
It was pooring down rain which just made the game seem even more realistic and I'm loving it. I got into a huge battle between me and 5 others... I won the fight.
This game is the only game that has made me feel certain ways in such intense things and I love it.. the game keeps you on your toes.
I now play on the modded/boosted servers which are more beginner friendly... I'm steadily learning the map, cities, towns and villages and just key points.
I personally try to be friendly to other survivors... I do tend to avoid others though as one wrong mistake and I'm as good as dead as I don't play with others.

I love how you play vanilla, after playing all kinds of mods I'm finding I just prefer the raw struggle of vanilla

I have tried various modded maps. often there are so many weapon and ammo variables I am running around with 30 different parts and none of them work together... One some servers I just end up sat at the traders area picking up scraps and throwing human heads at people..
I keep returning to vanilla.
