Regarding the guys in Krona Castle, it's like the player who told you about them gave you a side quest for it. Only in DayZ!

If there were a working cookstove, or the means to put one together, among all the loot, you could have cooked off the landmines and likely destroyed most of the loot in the entire pile in one shot.

I don't play DayZ often, but it's really frustrating when you spawn into a town or whatever and get killed instantly but some dickheads who have setup a base like that. You totally did the right thing!!!
i absolutely loved this side of you bro, this was the right thing to do regardless of morals. glad to see you didint cave in and actually destroyed the stuff. people just dont understand it, they can come running back to this base in 5 mins or less and be geared to take on anything, it defeats the purpose of the game. now if thats how they want to play, then sure go ahead, but this isnt griefing its being the 'hero' of berezino in the fresh spawns eyes.

We were once raided by an American group that thought they were it. I spent 3.5 hours taking apart their base. I destroyed 3 cars, all their tents and took down not only gates but walls too. I left a note on a single surviving wall that said, "the north remembers" (we were north of them). They left the server.

I have hours of play that can be measured in two digits, less than 40!, and was always amazed at how geared the folks were that were taking us out, often still within sight of the coast! These guys can only be described as bullies. Puts you off playing. Thank you RunningManZ, you're a hero to us little guys.
Eh, you need people like this. Encounters like that are what make dayz worth playing. If no one killed freshies, there’d be no freshie bandits to kill!
I have no knowledge about the inner DayZ maps or mechanisms but if I understood right he just balanced it out which was needed because there were some guys (or clans) which spawn kill other guys and hunt the poor weak players even more down.
He just sorted it out and was a bit like Robin Hood kind of... totally respected move there my guy.
Only thing I like more then you handling things the way you did at the end, is the very real possibility that one of the base builders is watching you do all of this to their stuff.

Your content is the reason i reinstalled dayz after not playing for about a year. Made me miss all the randomness the game brings. Started my journey last night and already deep into it on a modded server.
i also reinstalled. but i havent played lol i just cant do it. but the content is great!

@@generalwadehampton.2578 never played days on a console. I've started playing it when it was a mod for another game. Now, still on PC, but it's cool that it's on console now and they are finally getting decent games.
@ericlewandowski6330 it's fun on console but from my perspective (PS) no one talks and it's 100% KOS or be killed. The party systems on console just aren't conducive to having any communication. By the time you would switch from party chat to game chat you'll be executed. Really sucks but that's just the way it is.
You and Amish are the reason I'm building a computer just to play DayZ. I play it on my Xbox series X but PC just seems like it would be a better experience.

It's very interesting that two platforms appear very different. I am on the Xbox and certainly miss the options and mods. I still want survival, but would be great to have more options.
@denisv09 PS4 was the worst of them all. I bought it just to mess around and try out different strategies but the frames were horrid.
I also don't generally condone the despawning of base loot but in this case I agree with you...this was well deserved...GG.
Haha loved this ending. Can't believed I've never spelled out 'F U' in a base. I've mostly only ever done smiley faces and 'LOL' - no matter how many hours of videos I've watched on RUclips or hours spent in Twitch streams I always pick up something new! 38:45 -- I think the thing which most impresses me here is not that They went out and found the Nails necessary for the crates, but they must have lugged all those Planks back to a base inside of Berezino.

Its not that hard with one of the larger bags in the game,1 trip to the treeline with a mountain backpack will give you enough planks for 6 crates plus there is 3 possible plank spawn points right across the road from that base at the hospital, if you have a buddy or 2 to watch your back its easy pickings

This was great. I've been watching this other guy that goes through the effort of building bases and doing raids. It had occurred to me that I'd never seen the running manz raid anyone or even encounter a base for that matter. Inside of a week episode one had dropped. It's like the guy's reading my mind.
That said, it was so satisfying to see you get into that base and breaking all their guns. Toxic players deserve that kind of ruthlessness. Every item in those boxes was gained by camping out and merking every player that passed through their sight.

Great video as always! I actually like when your videos don’t have (or have minimal) music underneath, your content is suspenseful and awesome enough and doesn’t need layered royalty free music, plus we like hearing the background and commentary etc!
I like it when the music is used subtly to increase the suspense! Can really add to the video imo.
I like it both ways (that’s what she said) but seriously I guess it depends on the fight and scene….there’s times where hearing what TRMZ hears is just what I need and other times I like the subtle suspense ambiance. Cheers

You're absolutely right in every way handling those players and that base, people don't setup on the coast like that and do the things they did and keep their stuff, they eventually get raided and griefed. What you did was mild to what some people would have done.

I totally agree. Fully geared large group in fresh spawn town killing fresh spawns, huge base. They will recover.
Anywhere more inland, Raid maybe yes, but take only what you will use and not despawn the rest.

I also agree that it wasn't griefing. Spawn campers are the lowest of the low. You saved a bunch of people from having a trash experience so that some others can "have fun". Good show.

As a returning player (haven’t played in around 10-11 months) in my 3rd server I got the same problem. As I don’t remember the area as it was a DLC which I have limited time on it. As soon as I spawned in I was greeted to a huge building with a fort on top of it and I’ll tell you what that could see the entire town and probably onwards. Casually looting the area to suddenly get killed by a full geared guy. He had an AK. Second spawn and I get close to the exact same town and ran back to my body as I did have a shotgun with ammo, only as I was returning there I got killed by a guy in the fort! At this point I knew they was fresh spawn camping! 3rd spawn again near the exact town and at this point I must be the most unluckiest to keep spawning in that area! So I just run to the fort and speak to them as I was curious to know how they defended there base. Surprisingly they responded and came out and K/O me to handcuff me and strip me down. So they actually was nice enough to show me and it has to be an impossible raid. They must’ve had over 20-30 doors not to mention the 5 gates they had at the front of there base! These doors led all the way to the top of there located fort. And holy hell they had a lot of gear and loot! They even told me they was apart of a 12 man clan in this server and they’re spread in 3 towns close to each area with 4 men guarding and killing just around those areas. They called themselves the unfair way to play, which kinda fits what they’re doing. They even advised me to leave the server as I’ll most likely not have fun due to a lot of fresh spawn bases covered by not only there clan but another!
I even questioned them if it’s fair to what they’re doing and he said “if DayZ actually has an end game then unfortunately this is it because if you can advise me how after the base building, the raids, bunker, heli crashers and getting high tier loot, then what else is there to do besides killing players?” I thought interesting answer but personally I couldn’t play like that and let them kill me so I could leave the server and hopefully to never return as that ain’t one for the solo players!

As you started back into Berezino, I thought to myself how could this get any better? Opened another Tab on my browser and searched Marty Robbins- El Paso as you started to dismantle the base. 🤣 Video was great but that made the Revenge x10 better. GG 👍

TRMZ comes strutting into Berizino with the goods. The only thing outdoing his superb base-raiding loadout is his massive balls swinging side to side. The locals of the town have mixed feelings, some are relieved that he is there to rid their little coastal town of the evildoers as they shout, "The British are coming!" Others are salty and although they are armed only with a Sporter, they try to sneak in and piggyback off of the man who run's success in this world. "Not on my very expensive watch", says Paul. "Good night Mr. Sporter man, this is my base raid and this is my fucking town now. Evil has been purged in this town, LOVE YOU, BYE!

Dude what a timely video haha. I was playing on rearmed, where a bunch of sweats made a Uber base in Berezino and I've been thinking about enlisting solos to make an anti-sweat task force. Basically police the try hards from slaughtering freshies are ruining loot spawns along the coast lol
