This is what I love about fountain pen inks. It's always so surprising how an ink will turn out on different pens amd papers. And even over time in the same pen and nib size as the water starts to evaporate and ink gets more and more concentrated. There is so much to explore with this hobby
I'm sad the true pinks didn't make the list! I love Sailor Ink Studio 431, and I just got samples of Dominant Industry Royal Azalea and Robert Oster Hot Pink!
01:36 the sailor when swatched looks pink, but when used for writing, definitely orange. 03:44 Definitely pink 05:52 Pretty much 🍊 orange to me. 08:25 Yup. Pink as a wash/swatch, but orange for writing. 09:08 once again, pink as swatch, but orange for writing. 11:18 pretty much like the other 🍊 🍊 🍊 oranges. Deceiving. Swatch is pinkish, writing is orange. Interesting. Swatches are deceiving. I learned today not to trust the swatch. It’s better to get a writing example since that’s what I’ll be doing with the ink.
Am I the only person who finds it frustrating when you see a video titled "Pinks" and the inks look peach? And a video titled "Greens" that showcases inks that look more brown than green? Red and Yellow are primary colors. The moment you add yellow to red, it becomes orange. Therefore, pink with yellow added would become a variation of orange (coral). Why not make titled this "Best selling pink / corals inks"?
Thank you, May! I also think coral counts as pink. Pink and coral inks are just so fun to use. I love them!
Ugh, love this series -- thank you so much May!!
Coral is a beautiful color, so i'm glad to see they are popular!
Yall should make sample sets of all these top five inks to sell. Looking forward to purple hopefully!
I personally like Pilot Iroshizuku Tsutsuji for pink. Lennon Tool Bar is now on my radar to try some inks from them.
Tsutsuji is one of my favorite inks of all time. It looks sooo good in the Kaweco Infrared Perkeo.
same! I love using Tsutsuji in a broad nib
Thanks. The Sallor 431 is the only one that actually looks like what I would think of as pink.

Iroshizuku Hana-ikada is a great pink as well.
Perfect timing! Looking for peachy

Hoping to see browns next! I think browns are a very underrated colour...

I gotta say this is not what I was expecting for pink but I'm a Barbie pink fan 🤣 💕
ink institute and Sailor 431 are the only "true" pinks, but still all have their usees.
Awesome ❤
What I'm learning from this whole series is: the people love shimmers 😆
What glass pen are you using?
It's the J Herbin glass dip pen! :)
The best pink is probably Sakura-Mori by Sailor. Most of the inks in this video are coral, not pink.
