About The Daily Show:
Trevor Noah and The Daily Show correspondents tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and pop culture.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
Trevor introduced us to the best stories that other interviewers won't touch. He let's us meet the best from around the world. His research and questions of the guests are top notch.
Every other late show seems to have the exact same type of celebrities. Famous people selling their latest book or movie.
Exactly
Yeah, love Colbert as I do, Trevor introduces us to so many people that need a platform as well. I've only seen him fail once, when he couldn't really handle having a trans woman on.
Ah please... wake up
That sounds like a must read. Better yet, it sounds like a movie or TV show too. Thank you for writing that book
That sounds like a movie or/and a TV show we will never see.
That's why it's bad. If you think a movie needs to have a storyline or entertaining like a TV show, you don't know what litterature and arts in general mean.
I remember this case and always wondered about the full story. Glad she wrote it, will def buy it.
Fabulous storyteller and such a great interview by Trevor, as usual.
I tottaly agree
Thanks Trevor for having her on and bringing her to the show. Leila Mottley.
WOW I’m in awe! I mean she is SUCH an inspiration actually a huge blessing for all ladies of color. Thank you so much to Leila from my heart. I so appreciate you for all that you doing you are most definitely a gift 🥰
I’m getting her book!!!
GREAT INTERVIEW, 👍 BEAUTIFUL INSPIRING YOUNG LADY 👏
Remarkable interview. Can't wait to read her work.
The way you are making all of you aware of the people of black color, it is very commendable. This work of yours is highly appreciated in India and I get motivated by watching your videos.
NAMASTE 🙏
She's absolutely beautiful and brilliant....Black women are some of the most powerful human beings on the planet and need to be celebrated, not just tolerated....they are the oil that makes this machine called life keep going....I know first hand, because I came from a beautiful Black Queen 👸 ❤️....truth be told, we all did!!! To the continent of Africa, you're second to none!!! You're so much more than straw huts and spears, and the enemy knows this!!🌍 ❤️
Who is the enemy?
@@Totanonsrb ....if it's not, don't worry about it sweetheart!!🤔🤭
Thank you so much Travis for airing such a gem 💎
Trevor not Travis
Truly a great deed this fantastic young book author is doing, of empowerment to all of womankind/womanhood, the world-over, especially for those who’ve experienced being marginalized by their peers & general societies around themselves thru firsthand accounts, during their life struggles to simply “fit in” &/or, being at least accepted in life as “normal” human beings, seeking validation & acknowledgement for equal happiness that we all seek… great interview, Trevor!
Her books are definitely going to be asked for movie deals. And I would love to see something like that
Congrats Leila...what an inspiration!
@Mot Goaiu what is THIS?? I'm seeing it literally everywhere & no I will not click on the link..just explain it...ty.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 from “The Town!!” Proud of her using her VOICE. I will be picking this book up today 🎉😃🦄
his questions are so interesting and the excitement he radiates reflects on the audience making us even more involved into the story this book has to tell
Inspiring
I encourage you sister, show people no matter how black our skin colour is or how young you are.
But you have heart knowledge and empathy, that some white and old people not have in their consciousness.
Life is not easy to fight with insane people, but however i hope many people like you share more positive empathy and the knowledge of understanding more for young people.
Education and knowledge will help young people get out from those people who take the opportunity to take control of their freedom.
Be strong and brave sister 💪 respect and appreciation you both 🙏💚
Bravery and honesty and other virtues have nothing to do with skin colour. Just like negative traits have nothing to do with it.
@@Totanonsrb You are so right, i really appreciate and so happy to learn the word (virtues ) from you.
Nowadays so many people not have virtues anymore, it is so sad.
I know how to say it in my own language, but not in English, but now i know from you.
That's is wonderful for me word🤗 Thank you very much and I appreciate 🙏💚
You have done it again Trevor! Thank You for the exposure! 👏🏽📚👏🏽
Thank you
Leila Mottley, your name announced put a smile on my 1 week old child every time I said it. Kinda cute, but really creepy cause he was sleeping, and opened he's eyes a little bit as if he was in love
Love Leila
okay I don't know nor heard of this young writer but Trevor's intro just got me to look for her book on Amazon. Thanks Trevor for helping out new artists.
I'm inspired.
I’m going to come back to the rest of this interview after reading the book!! Yep
Shine your light Leila !🌟
She speaks so so beautifully🥰❤️🙏🏾
This is awesome. I look forward to a long and fruitful career for her.
Beautiful and smart young black woman.
Definitely one of my top ten of all time. Its a stomach punch.
Wow, you haven't been reading much, have you?
@@Totanonsrb actually i read 2 books sometimes 3 a week. I managed 3 bookstores in my career, I read every genre. Ive read 1000s of books. Toxic white man masculinity
@@barbarajeanne8351 It's spelled "masculinity". And since you read so much... You spelling mistake you just made there(I'm sure it was an accident), how do we call that in literature?
Clearly, you don't read much if that book is in your top ten.
Blackwomenlivesmatter!✊🏾✊🏾
This book had me crying throughout but when I got to the part with the yellow and blue backpack, I was sobbing.
Can you please post the moment of Zen Comedy Central doesn't play it on Demand!!!
Thank you. Absolutely reading this.
just got a Christmas gist for all my nieces.....
grrrrllll she flew in like a blimp
Literature and humour
One of the many reasons we need young people to tell stories is because in many ways they are still so passionate to make change, to affect the world, to share perspectives that we can often lose as adults.
😄👍
Wait a minute so her book was actually chosen to be a part of Oprah's book club wow okay so she's very important then. Don't mess with the best.
A story and a career full of holes.
IDK maybe she can focus some of that energy on her health.
Agreed and mind you, she is only 20yo. I wonder... what would Bill Burr say XD
Only black women?
Bye Vlad👋🏾
@Senica S...Yes we're speaking about "black girls" & "black women"💙💜💙💜💙💜💙
Go write your own story if you feel some kind of way. Black Women have been pushed in the margins too long for your PETTY commentary.
🥲 It is such a relief to hear young girls speaking out about the crimes committed against by anyone in a position of power or any one else. So often we remain silent, afraid to speak or retaliated against so severely that we give up on Justice for ourselves and our communities. This young lady has broken the silence. Much continued success to her. I hope to make her life better by fighting my way through Supreme Court all the way to Accountability for all who commit crimes, including people in positions of power...law enforcement, judges up through to the President. Under Democracy, no one should be exempt if they have done an illegal act, especially crimes against kids.Thank you Trevor, this interview has been an inspiration. Please continue the great work.
