I love how guts never victimized himself at all that alone makes him one of the greatest characters ever made.

What's amazing about Guts, as a character, is that despite of all of the horrific and traumatic crap that he's been through (A lot of love ones gone, betrayal, tragic childhood, so much blood, etc.), We would think he would be a complete Insane Doomer who would just give up....But he didn't, he struggled through and keeps on fighting until he gets justice and redemption. If that's not a great example of Masculinity, idk what to say.
Despite of all the B.S., Men, never give up like Guts. Keep struggling, warriors.

Depression and anxiety is crucial for one to survive and to thrive.
I think a big theme in Berserk is accepting your weakness. When guts' friends were killed, he couldn't do anything. When his loved one was raped, he couldn't do anything. He derived all the strength he could so that he could fight against destiny and go beyond what man can become, yet he just ended up becoming the things he hated the most. Consumed by hatred. In the final ark written by Miura, Guts finally accepts that he's a human, and therefore he can't control life and death past a certain point, and his hatred was detrimental to everyone. Haven't read the newest chapters though.
Also the scenes where Guts is raging in the berserker armor are his weakest moments, he can't even stay sane and he lets himself be controlled by the armor so that he could keep on going. Humans can only do so much.

These kind of edits about guts gives me goosebumps to work out. Guts is not just a ordinary character he is a inspiration to all men. Whatever happens he never gives up fighting even in the darkest times.
I think that one of berserk's philosophies is to keep on struggling, no matter what lies ahead to just keep fighting and struggling against whatever the world throws on your path, because you will never achieve anything if you don't fight against the obstacles on your way, a philosophy I took deeply to heart.
His first edit shows his ability to keep fighting, his struggler side.

My goal is to become “the world’s best striker”. Pretty unrealistic since I live in Romania where its super hard to become a pro football player + it is an overall almost impossible goal to achieve.
I have no problem with failing. I do have a problem with not even trying, which I would piss myself off so much if I decided to procrastinate instead of train. Recently picked up berserk and I wish to be as determined and disciplined as Guts.
