It's 2022. Call ALL troops back home. Protect the border by building bases in each state lining the coast. Have ships traverse the outer rim & scheduled air force flights across the country to monitor the skies.
Add a lazer defense system (around the ENTIRE perimeter of the U.S.) to remove any aerial threats on-demand. Asteroids are a national security risk that must be handled. Such a system would also communicate to the world that this land 🇺🇸 is no pushover, while minimizing antagonism.
