We used to fish Lake Michigan out of Waukegan harbor out of my friends 16 footer with a 20 horse Mercury. Yes the right day is key but we limited out in an hour just trolling raps in silver blue. Cohos and kings. Then stopped for Perch on the way in. Browns as well.

Have you ever trout fished in the Driftless Area (se Minnesota/ne Iowa)? There's some good spots over by Decorah.
I haven't in a very long time. Growing up, my dad would take us over that way fishing the streams, and man it was fun! I need to do it again sometime!
Water temps are to cold for any inshore stuff. 80 Sunday will help.
