@TrentBourland I mean it does but just remember, heroic intervention doesnt give you charge bonuses. So it does, but you don't get the big bonuses out of it. Compaired to the Assault intercessors still getting reroll atleast 1s.
One thing i noticed, now Titanic Knights give +1 VP in total each if destroyed, but, Armigers and Wardogs now give 2VP instead of 3VP, since now you have to destroy something of 15W or higher to get the first +2, instead of destroying something 10W or higher to get the first +1 previously.
If I was running endless swarm I'd just roll with 19 unit squads to not trigger it. I can deal with one less gaunt in the few bricks of 20 I do bring and just remove that mission from the game. Perhaps keep one qualifying unit in the very very back so they can't re-draw. 19 gargoyles and a winged prime is plenty considering how much frustration this will cause for my opponents scoring.
@@thehiddenheretic I decided to do them one better and just run 60 gargoyles as 6 units of 10 each, and a 22 Neurogaunt unit in the back so not only can they not score the rule on my swarms, they can't pitch it as I have a 22 squad in a huddled mass on my home. 2 Thoughts about Explosives Primary: - you can’t kick on a model, which means you can moveblock the objective with infiltrators - taking an action now limits shooting and stuff which might be helpful for the opponent.
A little late to the comment party, but I'm just going to throw it out there for Marines players that Drop Pods are eligible to perform actions thanks to having OC2. Did a test game with one of these with a unit of Blade Guard, Lieutenant and Ventris inside, Rapid Ingress deep strike deploy and the pod stayed on the objective to do secondaries and it was SICK. Ventris giving Deep Strike on my Aggressors in Turn 2 just made board control so much easier than in many of my most recent games.
Great video but Am I crazy or did you only go over 16 of the 18 secondary missions? Area Den, Assassination, Behind, Bring, Cleanse, Containment, Cull, Defend, Extend, Engage, Locus, Marked, Prisoners, Recover, Sabotage & No mans land, What ones am I missing?
For Bring it down on Crisis. You can remove the shielddrone then the they just got 12 hp all together and then it is just 2 victory points per unit + 2 for the commander. So if you kill 2 units of crisis it is just 8 points.
Burden of trust says the guard scoring happens at the end of each PLAYERS turn, not the opponents turn ;) much easier to score the extra 2. Edit: Nevermind it says the opponent of the active player actually scores the points 😆
@@redthunderboar1323 eh, not so sure bout that, best current list runs 10 armiger, if the opponent manages to chew through that the secret mission is our smallest problem :D
My opinion on "fixing" Unexploded Ordinances: Make it so that if a kicked objective lands on a unit/model is causes d3 MWs. This causes damage to units that only kick it straight back and forth. Will cause some kicking at minor to extreme angles to avoid a damaging kickback. Thoughts?
for scorched earth. you can now burn more than one in no mans land. so burning more in no mans land makes it so you can push hard into their half. correct me if this is not a change
Siegler mentions about not being able to deploy understrength units. I thought I had heard this too but have scoured the rules and not found the rule. Anyone else know where it is?
@@ArtofWar40k I found the closest ruling to this and it’s in the MFM. Top paragraph. It states that you can take any number of models between the min -max available however you have to pay for the max. (Or points bracket you are in). Based on this you can pseudo state that you cannot take a unit below the min starting size.
Please center your faux neon sign please. Pretty please. Good luck this season. I just wished we had Pariah coming back to Necrons with this card pack. I miss those dudes!
The bring it down change is HUGE for T'au. Would you be running Crisis teams with shield drones on 2 of the models instead of all 3 to keep them at 2VP each? Lots of rhino rush armies laughing, little knights etc One thing you brushed over was the threshold changes. Lots of stuff that was 3 just went down to 2 because it had 10 or 12 or 14 wounds. edit: had a think, it's good that 90 point models like bloat drones and rhinos don't hemmerage 3 but C'tan at 2VP is silly. Maybe the threshold should be 12? It'd also mean that stuff like say... pirahnas doesn't suddenly go from 2VP at 2 models to 6 at 3. The additional thresholds are quite close together.
I dont think GW really thought through the skipping deployment for titanic models thing. Sounds ok for something like, Chaos Knights running 3 titanic knights for some reason, but what about Necrons? Who can take 2 monoliths, and by virtue of being necrons, still have about 1000 units on the table, each time they drop a monolith I have to drop 2 units.... seems a bit scuffed.
Also, not being to OW in turn 1 seems a bit much. Especially with less distance between deployment zones. Not being able to OW something like... World Eaters running down your throat top of turn 1. Or with the clarification on the Turn 1 Deep Strike rules, not being able to OW those units when they set up, or even something like Death Wing Terms with Turn 1 DS.... ugh.
I hate that they ditched actions from 9th to 10th. It was much easier and if they had it in the core rules from the start of 10th, they could have included abilities and stratagems that let units do action and shoot.
Am I reading this wrong? 20+ means everything ABOVE 20 or does it include 20? If not then Secondary mission card: Cull the horde's first condition is not achievable ever? There's no unit in any army that has a baseline starting strength of 21 models, without attached characters. It caps out at 20 models. Mission as written I'd assume it's 20 AND higher, but this is one of those cases where a little writing edit immediately would clear confusion.

To Jacks concern about understrength unit, the rules commentary clarifies the starting strength is determined when you add it to the army so even a 19 man that paid for 20 counts as starting at 20, time to hunt some bugs
That doesn't mean what you think it means. The first paragraph of the MFM specifies that unit size is a RANGE and that you just pay the same cost for any unit in that range. So I can pay 120 points for anywhere from 11-20 Termagants, for example, and choose the number 19 when they are added to my army. I paid for 19, since 19 is from 11-20 and I pay 120 for anything in that range. I expect this will get FAQ'd though, to target units with strength of 11+ for Cull.
