4 vocalists on this one, Til, Jon, Andrew and Will on the rap verse, love it
The second clean singer is Andrew Wells, Jon is the uncleans.
DGD is enjoyable for me because it's so complex. Every single listen of a song you can focus on something different and have a new appreciation for the song overall
Every DGD song is perfect in it's only way. Especially from Mothership until Jackpot Juicer. War Machine is fucking epic too
The second clean singer that sings the ending is Andrew (from Eidola and now a member of DGD). Will does the rapping. Can't wait to see this song live next month. They really hook you at the live shows.

I wish this was true when I seen them. I watched them support Don Broco in Cardiff earlier this year and they had no energy and didn't interact with the crowd at all. They sounded great but without the energy it wasn't a great live performance. I was so disappointed because I love their music.

@@dangerjonez21 you should check out mothership! it has a lot of the fun summery vibes that jackpot juicer has in my opinion, especially songs like young robot and betrayed by the game. the singles summertime gladness, head hunter, and blood wolf also have that same feeling to me

I love that they've given everyone a moment to shine in this song ❤️ A true tribute from each of them to Tim.
Not my favourite DGD song, but a solid DGD song for sure.
I also think the whole situation with Tilian was handled very well, and considering the bands history, I genuinely believe the band wouldn't have continued with Tilian if they didn't believe he was remorseful or hadn't taken the situation seriously.

Everything about this is wrong. For one thing, Tilians lyrics are a terrible response to his criticism, NOT about Tim. Secondly the band's response was terrible. They lied about why Tilian was temporarily out of the band for one thing, and for another, Tilian admitted to one of the multiple accusations. He should be out of the band.

@@todddominoes9862incase you care (which I doubt you do) but there were 2 main accusations with “concrete evidence” and a bunch of other “me too” accusations (cause the internet is garbage).
The 1st and main accusations was true but also blown out of proportion. Tilian and the female did plan to have an evening together alone and to drink. While both intoxicated Tilian wanted to have sex but the girl was unsure but he convinced her and she never really told him anything about it making her super uncomfortable until the original post came out. So that’s what he apologized for because while being drunk he wasn’t able to tell she was reluctant at first (which is still inexcusable and shitty) and the reason he went to rehab because of his substance abuse. (Til posted their full text conversation on Reddit after he was sat down from the band for a while or before being back in the band).
The second one WAS a girl that Til went on a date with and maybe had sex at one point. But her accusations was completely false and she lied to try to get fame or people to feel bad for her as on Reddit came a post about her specifically lying and saying that her next target was Tim’s brother(this was a video with voice chat so it’s really hard for her to even try to say that wasn’t her while her friends were encouraging her actions to try and shame this man). Also there was a video posted about her physically assaulting her current boyfriend and for some reason Johnny Craig got involved saying something like “idk how til could’ve slept with that” and posting it on IG.
One of my all time faves by DGD.. how do they keep getting better and better? Amazing

I think it's one of the best singles of the year.
Either you love DGD or you hate them im so happy ive been there since the album Downtown battle mountain. You can see how they changed over the time with different clean vocalists, but DGD are as its best right now the hauntingly beauty of Tillians voice together with Jon and then add Andrew to it..OMG
Actually I believe the ‚lower tone‘ Johnny was referring to in the intro riff is a 7 String! And in fact I believe it’s the first official DGD song that they recorded a on 7 string!
So cool to see that they still find ways to be more creative and experiment after all these years.
The imagery of the video was pretty stunning!

Reckon Johnny would enjoy something like Inspire the Liars or even summer time gladness... more hooks and chorus, but still amazing unique songs. DGD are proper class

Their Wiki page states they still don’t have a bassist since Tim’s passing.
Sergio Medina has been playing bass on tour with them since Tim's passing, but no one has officially joined the band as their bassist yet.
Hearing them reference Jon when the vocals were Andrew was a bit sad. Guy doesn’t get enough credit

Tillian, denied committing any sexual misconduct.
It's not one of their best songs (that's definitely Evaporate), but it's a perfect tribute to Tim. They said that he loved Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Sci-Fi so this is basically just a mash-up of that. I love that all 4 singers got to so their parts and I think the ending with Andrew is very emotional.
Johnny should check out some of their older heavier stuff like The Jiggler, Demo Team, Doom & Gloom, Acceptance Speech, Man of the Year, Say Hi. They have so many bangers it's incredible 😊

Same kind of, I really really love jons screaming and wills guitar work so secret band and a lot of dgds heavy work is awesome for me but sometimes the clean vocals turn me away a little bit
They are very much an acquired taste, the first time I heard them I hated them and now it’s like the only band I can listen to every album too
@@antoniolopez1135same for me! I wasn't into post hardcore at all but their cover of Semi-Charmed Life got me hooked, and the coming year I listened to nothing but DGD 😂
@@chimp1191 @antoniolopez1135 I think for me they are just one of those bands that I just don't gel with. I appreciate all the parts separately but together it just doesn't work for me. Saying that though those guys have been grinding music out forever and I absolutely appreciate the dedication. Maybe one day it will click. It just wasn't today
The music is very busy and complex. It definitely isn't for everyone bc there is a lot going on. It's either you love the band or can't get in to them. They are my favorite band since they started ❤
