The history of the church is long and horrid. The Catholic Church originally didn’t make priests celibate; it was done so Pope’s couldn’t pass the pulpit thru heredity. The Bible itself may have many many many more historical books added to the word, but the church “canonized” the Bible. Decided the books that should be included. Many believe the book of Enoch should be included and maybe the Dead Sea scrolls. There is speculation that there is a direct book or books written by Jesus stored by the Catholic Church in their library. To this date, the church probably holds the most historical record of history of this realm in its library. There is a demonic element that invades the church as much as it does in every religion.
Ultimately, the word of God is within. You are the source connected to God/ Jesus. Our spiritual connection to God is our path of knowledge. There is nEVER a time you ask a question or seek knowledge that you will be ignored. It will be answered when you pay attention either directly or from someone coming into your life to help in a way that helps. The only truth is your direct connection to God. It’s why confession to a priest makes no sense. God knows your sin and your heart and your want to “change” or “fix” your life from your sin. Confession to a priest to the church gives them the knowledge for blackmail down the road… esp for the elite thru history.
Anyway, I wish we insist the church open its library for the world to see the truths hidden deep. But ultimately, ask for the truth and God will place it all in front of your face as you can take it in the time that you need it

Another stay at home mom here! I never thought being a mother would change my dreams so much. Went from a school social worker to having a child, wanting to stay home, and will be starting my first year home schooling my eldest this fall. So blessed and thankful for all God has given me. I take a moment to appreciate that each night as I watch my children sleeping peacefully. God is so good!

Candace, I was driving down the road one day with my 3 young sons in my car with me screaming, arguing, and fighting with each other. I remember thinking, "OMG, I cant wait for you guys grow up!". I came to a red light and as I looked up, I saw a billboard that said, "PARENTING...THE HARDEST JOB YOU WILL EVER LOVE!". I thought to myself, "THAT'S IT, that's how I feel!". No matter what they did, I remembered that sign. I LOVE MY SONS more than life itself, I HAD TO be a momma, I cant imagine what life would be like without them! They are all grown up now and I wish we could go back and do it ALL OVER! Enjoy every second with your little ones, you're going to blink and theyll be grown and on their own. Candace, I am a pastor that got removed from the pulpit for calling out Christian Zionism. This is a major issue In the body of Christ, especially in the American Evangelical movement. I am seeing it take a hold of some Catholics as well.
Genesis 12:3 (bless those who bless Abraham and curse those who curse him) has been taken way out of context. In fact, in Galatians, Paul says that all who are IN CHRIST are the children of Abraham. Additionally, even if their erroneous interpretation were true, it would never mean that we can't call out evil where we see it. The prophets throughout the Old testament, who were the very spokesmen for God, harshly rebuked the Israelites and their Kings whenever corruption abounded! There is a difference between cursing and confronting evil.
There is so much to say about the problem of Zionism infiltrating Christianity, and I welcome a conversation on it if you would ever like.

What's your opinion of Rom 11? Lots of prophets today have prophesied what's happening in Israel. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob will protect Israel. God's promise to Abraham still stands today. He never changes.

Galatians 4:21-31 does explain that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. there are two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, and is in bondage with her children- which corresponds with Jerusalem, but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. We are as was Isaac, children of the promise. It says we are not children of the bond woman but of the free.

Yes this means that those who put their faith in the works of the law will not be saved and will not inherit the promises in the end, but those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and his work on the cross will be saved.

Years ago I literally lived in the African bushveld. Absolutely loved it. Two of our four children were born there. There was not church so I had to do my own studying. Looking back it was a time I was the most spiritual because I was not distracted by the world. Family life was wonderful. It's harder to be spiritual in my opinion when living in the city. I love being able to worship with others but I miss that peace I used to feel. Especially in todays world. My husband and oldest daughter often meet up in the morning to hike in the mountains take time to sit and read the Scriptures, life family etc. I hope you and I both find that we are closer to the spirit as we strive to do better. ❤️

Both men and women, a mother and father, should try to be good parents, but similar to everything else in this world, it's possible to make being a parent an idol. I think part of the reason modern feminism has gotten so far is because society makes motherhood a woman's whole identity when not even God defines his children this way. Our children are entrusted to us, but not art projects. We pour into them, but we are not them. I've seen so many kids get crushed my mothers who have the best intentions, but your whole identity is your kids.

I am a reformed Baptist. I grew up in a dispensational church and this is so true! I remember them wearing their little Israel flag pins and you couldn’t question anything they would do. The secret rapture never made sense to me and, thankfully, I had a youth pastor who was more reformed and spoke the truth (until they forced him out). Thank you so much for speaking out about this! Most Baptist churches are dispensational and it’s honestly sickening the lengths they will go to when defending Israel.
Candace, my husband and I are converting to Eastern Orthodoxy (Protestants our entire lives). We were shocked when we learned the truth about Israel. The Orthodox Church teaches that the Church is the new Israel. This was ground shaking for us growing up surrounded by Christian Zionism and being taught that there was something special about the Jewish people even if they are actively rejecting Jesus Christ…. Thank you for speaking up about this! As St. Paul says in Galatians, “There is neither Jew nor Greek… You are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise”
*Edit: Want to add clarity since this comment is getting some attention… To say the Church is the “new” Israel is not to say it replaced it. It is a merger. Jews and Gentiles in Christ are all one.
