    Lakers...draft this kid and get a big through free agency. You don't find big point guards with good shooting and dribbling fundamentals to go along with VISION.

      MyAssStings the Lakers have a guy named Robert upshaw that was a potential lottery pick and he's a center. the Lakers got a steal from him. so now these young guys can develop into great potential. its not like we were going to win next year anywase

    • @moorreese
      @moorreese 9 лет назад +14

      Joe Nguyen You are probably just watching the box scores instead of watching the actual games. I've watched every second of every Laker summer league game and he is turning the ball over because he is passing to teammates who aren't expecting his passes. He doesn't know his team yet and 90% of the guys on the Lakers summer league team won't be on the actual roster anyways. When the REAL team gets together in September and he learns more about where they are offensively he will start putting the ball where it needs to be so they can score.

    WELCOME TO THE LAKERS MAN...WELCOME!

  • @whoisniilante
    @whoisniilante 9 лет назад +6

    He's going to be a star in LA. They taught a calculated risk knowing that there is all this big man talent in free agency. True PGs with great size don't come around often. Smart pick by the Lakers.

    • @gamingexpert2191
      @gamingexpert2191 9 лет назад +1

      Yea, glad they picked up ROY GOD HIBBERT. He put up a strong 2 points and 3 rebounds last night. We're sure to make the playoffs this year.

    • @whoisniilante
      @whoisniilante 9 лет назад

      GamingEXpert21 Ideally, they should have made a push for Boogie or Greg Monroe... but hey, I'm not the GM

    • @gamingexpert2191
      @gamingexpert2191 9 лет назад

      +lante07 Only way they only got boogie was to trade clarkson, Randle, and next years first round pick.They might have even gotten greedy and taken Dangelo too. Greg Monroe wanted to win. So he chose a team on the rise, not on the downfall.

    • @whoisniilante
      @whoisniilante 9 лет назад

      GamingEXpert21 I feel you. I don't think the Lakers organization wanted to build a real team around Kobe. They feel he has too much 'say so' on the court, even over coaches. But it's def a respect thing with Kobe. He deserved better from a team that he gave his all.

    • @gamingexpert2191
      @gamingexpert2191 9 лет назад

      +lante07 Yea, starting five should have looked like
      PG: Jordan Clarkson
      SG: Kobe Bryant
      SF: Justin Anderson
      PF: Julius Randle
      C: Jahlil Okafor
      This lineup would have at least won more games and could have been more competitive.

      Yea, the championships should be rolling in this year. I'm smelling playoffs this year. We're sure to lock up a 4th seed and make it to at least the semis this year.

    • @Thegiftedone95
      @Thegiftedone95 9 лет назад

      Yep but the key to possibly making it to the playoffs and clinching a 4th seed is that Bryon Scott needs to stop holding back the young guys. Even Kobe said to let the young guys play lol.

  • @sessahme
    @sessahme 9 лет назад

    I'm still not sold on this kid. So people, his athleticism has been questioned. Do you all think he is more athletic than Steve Nash was in his prime? If not, his ceiling isn't that high in my book.

    • @kennymorales5838
      @kennymorales5838 9 лет назад

      He's definitely more athletic than Steve Nash lol. Watch the vid he has a 38 max in vert

    • @sessahme
      @sessahme 9 лет назад

      Kenny Morales Definitely? Really? Pat Connaughton of Notre Dame has a 44 max vert, which is the same as Lebron James at his best. Do you think Pat is more athletic than Lebron?
      Vertical is just one stat. You have to look at other things like agility, acceleration, strength, stamina, and more. When Nash was young he would blow buy guys and he had great ability to change direction. It is possible that D'Lo is more athletic but we will just have to see.
      If you are a rookie and your name is not Shaquille or Lebron, then nobody should be confident about your future in the NBA.

    • @kennymorales5838
      @kennymorales5838 9 лет назад

      sessahme I'm not sayin that because of his vert alone he is more athletic... but it'd be almost impossible for d'angelo as a guard to have that vert and be really unathletic in other areas. With a 39 in vert he must have some given talent, so I was just making what I think is a safe assumption

    • @sessahme
      @sessahme 9 лет назад

      Kenny Morales You might be exactly right. He also might become a great player and be a great fit with Kobe since he likes to pass and Kobe likes to shoot.

    • @sessahme
      @sessahme 9 лет назад

      ***** It's all talk at this point. I'm going to be watching Summer League and I am interested to see how he plays. Justice looked pretty good so far and so did that Turner guy on the Pacers. Turner has a deadly 15 footer and he moved better than he did in his videos.
      I guess that's one of the factors with bigs is that they might still be getting used to their height. So they still have room to naturally develop.
      Most guards pretty much stay the way they were in college. Except maybe they improve on their shooting.
      In D'Lo's case, he is already a good shooter and you might ask your self if he already has enough skill to succeed at the NBA.level. Because the reality is, he probably won't get much better.
      I think agility and coordination are huge parts of athleticism and Nash excelled in those areas. Nash had the advantage of gaining great footwork and quickness playing soccer as a kid. A similar thing happen to Hakeem the Dream and the rest is history.
      Another thing to consider is that it is MUCH more common for a good defender to learn how to score (Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, just to name a few) than it is for a good scorer to learn how to defend. So D'Lo has an up hill battle.
      I actually hope D'Lo will be a great player but I don't think it is going to happen.
