    Man, I honestly love your videos. 🤘🏻 The comparisons are spot-on and it's interesting to see that the plugin sounds better than the stock model in the QC. As a matter of fact the QC models the MK1 whereas the plugins models the Mk2 so there can be a difference but I often read the plugins sound better than the models in the QC.
    Being a Fractal guy it would be interesting to have a Fractal unit in this comparison as well, just as a reference. Keep on the excellent work, pal! 👏🏻

      Thanks a ton! I might consider that comparison in the future, but the Fractal Solo 100 model was one of the first I went to when I got my FM9 and I'm still using it.

    VST plugins will always sound better on audio monitors when compared to multi effects pedalbooards. On the other hand you can play the pedalboards with cabinets via a power amp or with proper speakers for them, which is where they will sound good. Connecting them to a audio interface they ll never sound better than a good VST.

    The Soldano plug-in has a super heavy low mid that the QC doesn’t. It’s the reason I like the plug-in. Your capture turned out real close but Neural has dropped the ball on plug-in support. They were talking about it at launch and that was over 2 years ago. It’s why the product stalled out quickly.

    • @TheGooseChaseMusic
      @TheGooseChaseMusic  9 месяцев назад

      I still think the QC has potential. But it definitely needs more and faster support than it currently has.

    Looks like here are just different volumes of signal goes in plugin slo and to qc slo. If you increase input volume (for example with flat EQ block with more output volume) on QC before slo then results will closer to plugin

    • @TheGooseChaseMusic
      @TheGooseChaseMusic  8 месяцев назад

      I did check the inputs. Both were set to just below clipping, "tickling the red" ever so slightly, with the QC input boosted slightly to be able to match it.

      @@TheGooseChaseMusic3:41 on this samples it sounds like slightly boosted vs not boosted amp for my ears. But maybe it's just result of significant difference in low freqs😅

    • @TheGooseChaseMusic
      @TheGooseChaseMusic  8 месяцев назад

      @@user-os3vt8lm6g That's probably right because the Plugin is a newer example with a depth control, the QC doesn't have that.

    The SLO in the QC is an older model while the plugin is a new version.

    • @Utubewrk123
      @Utubewrk123 8 месяцев назад

      That’s not true. It was updated as were other neural captures. You guys who want plug ins are truly missing out on a great modeler. The quad sounds better, feels like amp and no latency. Some of us don’t want to be tied to a computer all day long. First amps and pedals then quad cortex. The whining and complaining re plug ins and especially having a pc for it was ridiculous. The UI is so good I will never even use a pc. Bigger issues in life. The posts that they’re not doing well is taken from what source exactly? It’s your own feelings. It continues to sell well and will continue to have a big following. It’s only grown. No I’m not a fanboi. I never even heard of neural before I gave in and bought a used one. I passed on it 3x. Re customer service they’ve been great to me. If they’re not nice to you. Maybe it’s you.

      @@Utubewrk123it’s absolutely true. The QC SLO was modeled from an older SLO and the plugin was modeled from a recent version. That’s why they sound different.

    • @TheGooseChaseMusic

      Same IR/mic file. Could be a difference in how both the plugin and the QC load the IR file itself. Might do a comparison of that in the future.

      If you look at the plugin window during the demo, you can see the level next to the input knob and it's not near peaking at all, which is what Neural recommends.
