At Quassy (Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury CT) this ride was called "The Bubble Bounce"....then they changed the name to "The Space Shot" and advertised that it was a whole new ride but it was just the same ride decorated differently, LOL! I never enjoyed Tip Top though because it made way too much noise!
The guy is operating it wrong by opening the bleeder valve right after activating the bounce lever. You are only supposed to use the bleeder valve when you're ready to end the ride. He's not allowing the bounce to complete.
Yeah, you're right. Rode this back when I was kid in the 60's - suppose to be more bounce than that. Use to like hearing the valve-thing letting out air - added a lot to the ride!
Wow this is completely lame compared to what I used to see done with the TIp Top at my home town's carnival. The operators would bounce several times in a row.
Yesss! We were just talking about this in my carnival group. And not to mention it’s not even being ran correctly. It’s like many shows are just giving up. They only put up the bare minimum rides. And leave all the intricate thrill rides on their trailers to rust. Because nobody wants to take time and set them up. Smh
I really loved this ride as a kid! I did not know that it still existed...good to know that its still around.
They were made up until 1975 was the last year was in a show luehers idea Rides had one from 1975 to 1987 made money hand over fist I ran it 🎉
Looks like it's been slowed down? I remember these going much faster
May I use this footage in a video? I will give you credit!

Exactly this ride is not ran right!
@@keithwalker3890 yes reminds me of the hurricane. ❤️❤️
Can you control the spin of the tubs on this ride?
Yes it only spins if you do it yourself but it’s a cool ride from the 80’s
@@andrewgrayson213 I think a ride like this would be cool to make a modern version of. Teacups or spinning tubs with a twist 😊
Don't see very many of these anymore...
