That face Butcher makes at 0:36 is just pure savagery. That's the face somebody makes when they're about to do something terrible and cruel, but they know they're going to have fun with it. Karl Urban killed it with this role.

I love this version of Butcher. It really gives to the point that Butcher doesn't really care who burns, so long as he kills all supes. I hope after he takes out Homelander he really does go after everyone. Just to solidify he is a man broken and wants the slate wiped clean of any superheroes ever happening.
I'm wondering if the show will have Butcher finally kill Homelander in Season 4, and the final season (if it's Season 5) will be Butcher as the main villain; a man too tarnished to fight the good fight now that Homelander is gone

@@derekhatcher754 Well both butcher and homelander are insane in their own ways. I'd say butcher is more insane for taking very dangerous risks that can not only harm him but harm his teammates while homelander backs off at any risk and instead always tries to make sure he gets out of things 100% clean for the public like he did with the plane as he did not want any survivor to say that he didn't want to lift the plane so he took no risk and gave no chance to any of the civilians on the plane.
I'd still say Homelander is mainly more disgusting actually as he does all these awful things all the time while butcher wouldn't hurt a random civilian just because he's angry. Soo you are practically right in that aspect of insane for Homelander.

Butcher actually cares for the boys and hughie and saved them a few times
He had a way more tragic backstory than homelander which explains why he hates supes ( but even then he hasn't done anything crazy bad in the show yet )
Sure he may be an asshole but doesn't even come close to homelander who murdered his best friend in cold blood and everyone else
He is one of the best written characters of all time, we can see his rage and when he wants to let it all out, but the humane and kind side we believe to be lost, is still fighting. It’s almost like he is a more humane version of Homelander.
He is not weak like homelander
he’s not a *”Weak, sniveling pussy”* like Homelander 🗿
Makes me appreciate him separating himself from Ryan, he knew he was a terrible influence and would just get the boy hurt in his own quest for revenge

I need him to take Perm V in the season finale, or the start of Season 4. I want to see Butcher finally become the Super Villain he was always meant to be and strike fear into the heart of every supe he comes across. When Homelander goes off the rails, the only way to truly kill that monster is with another monster...granted everyone will still be screwed when the either monster wins, but Butcher at least prefers targeting supes instead of average people.

Butcher has more practical fighting experience so if he were ever to get homelanders powerset homelander would die lol however, I don't think butchers compound v powers let him fly so homelander has him there.

All I will say is that I was abused really bad, women did it claiming to come from a place of "unconditional love", and they had a way of rationalizing it in a way to make themselves seem almost righteous and I deserved it. They all got away with it and are probably sitting and laughing right now, sipping their tea without a care in the world.
Meanwhile I'm sitting here with what feels like a black hole in my chest. I don't know if there is a way to get back to who I was. I don't know who I'll become. I just know that once I was loving and compassionate and now there's just this unquenchable bitter rage that roots down to my core.
I don't like who I am. And maybe that's the whole point.

Man, those transitions between shots are epic.
I never understood why people had a hard time believing that Butcher could kill Homelander because Homelander with superpowers is basically a child with superpowers. Butcher with superpowers on the other hand is a soldier with superpowers filled with rage. The only reason Butcher didn't kill Homelander right away was because Homelander had more experience with his powers while Butcher had just gotten them. He needs more time to experience his powers more. Maybe even unlock new abilities like flight with Compound V instead of just Temporary V. That's the only way he will survive and I honestly think he will do it because of his rage and thirst for revenge. Rebecca was everything for Butcher and Homelander took her away from him so Homelander is definitely gonna die by Butcher's hands

To me black noir seems to be in the middle when it comes to his powers he's not weak but he's not all that powerful for heavy hitters. Hughie is probably the only one there who couldn't solo him.
