Lloyd just does everything right. The way an asmrtist's voice breaks perfectly between a whisper and regular voice is usually a rare moment, Lloyd does it consistently throughout the video. He doesn't tap like a machine gun, whisper directly into the mic over and over, or stare and smile into the camera like a psycho. The man makes practical sets, no greenscreen. He does research and makes goddamn cue cards. Unparalleled authenticity and dedication. Happy belated Lloyd!

I disagree somewhat. He's authentic but only in ways that contribute to the desired effect. An old-timey cologne salesman dragging on slowly about David Beckham would be an absurd scenario in real life. But it's a strangely effective combination in the context of ASMR.
Your particular volume control and speech mannerisms/gesticulating feel so authentic and not forced. Really brings the ASMR to full effect for someone like me who's been watching soothing videos since the dawn of youtube and have built an immunity to tingles. Subscribed 💖
