Hi Rosemarie, yes I removed the skin prior to marination. You could do that by boiling it skin side down in some water until the skin peels off easily. Hope this helps.

@@paradisehearthdelights .....Approximately how long do you boil the tongue for I have never cooked going to try it for the first time
