Made this recepie today. Overall it was good and tasty. However it took more than 7 whistles on medium heat for the tongue to get tender. Any suggestions?

Hi i did like the recipe but would love to know why the tongue was not boiled for longer so the skin peels off easily and no meat is wasted while cutting the skin. Was there a special reason??

Hi, do you parboil the tongue even if the butcher has taken out the skin already?

The maximum time limit to cook the tongue it takes almost 1hr there is no need to add water it releases the water from the tongue when kept marinated
U shud tell how much qty peppercorn n cloves, how can one know few means how much ?

A simple roast has minimum spices. The was overpowering.
