Thank you for the tips. My young conure I love so much be continues to be bitty especially when he is excited to see me. My ears are becoming cauliflowers from the bitting.
Be patient, I’ll apologize for your conure 😀 This phase will pass, just a ‘puppy teething’ phase
@@ParrotBliss Thank you. This is very comforting.
Oh i just love cuddly parrots, my green cheek conure, he loves his cuddles...and i love petting him him also
Such a beautiful baby! Great advice...do your research. The first bird I wanted was a Toucan. After I did my research, that's the exact opposite of what I want. My little Parrotlet is my match. Thanks for posting!
I thought toucans were beautiful- did my research. Learned to admire them and I love my parrots! Parrotlets too!
I was fascinated with toucans when I was younger. I met someone who had one and I loved him but they are not the type of bird I wanted.
A reputable bird store will not sell a bird that is unweaned unless they are familiar with you and your ability to feed them. Our local bird store won't sell an unweaned baby at all.
Hi! Love your videos! What are your thoughts on Poicephalus senegalus? To your opinion, which are the least messy? I rent an appartment and I dont think Im allowed to have bird poop on the walls lol
I believe any Pocephalus will not get your walls dirty. Senegals are the easiest to find, the other species get more rare and more expensive. LMK what you get, they are fantastic parrots!
So Beautiful Birds!💚💜💙
Thank you!
Yeah can.t have loud parrots, cause of neighbours, thanks for your explanation
It's hard to have loud parrots in your home too
@@ParrotBliss yeah that must be true..
Thank you great video
Very welcome- glad it was suggested!!!
Such a good video...full of good information..thanks...
Oh, thanks for saying so, Tammy. Hope you are doing well!
Im crazy the first bird i had in 2019 was amazon parrot i didnt realized that they are loud but i still have her & loved her that much. I loved her talking ability & her being crazy. Now my new flock is parrotlet. From medium bird to small bird🤣
Did your Amazon ever get less loud? My older ones aren't as bad- and they can be so loving and affectionate. I adore them! Of course, Parrotlets are said to be like mini Amazons!
@@ParrotBliss shes less loud if shes busy playing with toys.😊
Hi. Love your videos. Very informative. I am planning to get a budgie very soon. I have been researching and feel it’s a great little parrot to start with. I was wondering how you feel about Linnies as a new parrot owner. The reason I ask is I know someone who will have two babies to give away in about a month or so. Was wondering if I should head in that direction or stick to the budgie. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 😊
Love Linnies! They aren’t easy to find - both species are sweet. I’ve had mine in the same cage temporarily with no issues at all. I’d get both Linnies and two budgies myself. Similar species- Budgies can talk more, but both are sweet, sweet and have nice sounds (most parrot’s squawk and it’s unpleasant the ears). Linnies are friendly and mine want to spend time with me. LOVE them!
Nice colour of your green cheek conure, never saw that , so calm...sweet...but so expensive.... beautiful though
Yes, thanks
Caiques !lol!!! Ozzy just bit me. Again. He's been so hormonal!! When does it end?!!
Oh no! Caiques can be challenging. Does he get lots of exercise to use up his energy?
I have a white bellied caique. He's my first bird. I love him soooo much!! But he is a little monster something.
Thank you for making this video
My pleasure!
This is great advice. I own an Alexandrine, but no one ever talks about them. All I've learnt is the contradicting articles on Google that often leave me confused. I assume Alexandrines are not that popular in the US.
Hi John- because the adriatic birds more interpret, and Alexandrine are not too common, I’ve never had one, so I don’t talk about them. Yes, I to find contradictory info online so I rely on Experience and my experts for good, reliable and helpful info 😃.
How long have you had yours? What county are you in?
Gran tip
Gracias Yesid!
I agree always do your research before you are getting your right bird. I have an ringneck her personality is very high strong and kids wanted to touch her I tell them because she is not very friendly with strangers the only one she loves interacting as me. I have eclectus parrot that is most friendly bird in the world but he can be weird with certain strangers.
It’s great that you’re teaching your kids, good lessons. Yes, both are stunning birds, but not cuddly!
@@ParrotBliss I appreciate I explain certain birds are not touchy and friendly.
@@michaelrodriguez-spruill5578 That’s really good because it teaches them to consider that everything has different needs and requirements :)
@@ParrotBliss I agree every parrot has different personalities not every parrot are going to be sweet and loving. I explained to a man one day he wanted to touch my ringneck and she was sitting on my shoulder I warned him that she strange with other people she does not know but he did not listen she turned around and she bit him. He has a ringneck parrot too and he should of known better than that certain ringnecks are not touchy especially the babies.
Very good video. I always thought I would like to have a slender billed cockatoo. I realize now it wouldn’t be a good bird for me. They are super dusty and needy. I jumped into an Amazon and an African Grey. They were both rescues. They seemed pretty easy to me. So, I jumped into caiques. They fit my personality to a “T”. It’s so important to do research and see the bird in person. This, as I said, is sooo good.
Check out my page on Facebook. I posted a picture of Ivar, formally Jasper from Naples. He’s doing so good. He has a special, new cage. It caters to his deformed feet. He seems very happy.😊❤️
Hi is it true that cockatoos are so very destructive and loud ? Thanks
There are always exceptions and it depends on the Cockatoo species
@@ParrotBliss oh ok, thanks
I have a white winged parakeet how do I know if my bird is male or female??
A budgie? You can tell by the color of the sere, which is like the nose, where the nostrils are. What color is it?
I.m a little afraid of big parrots...
I'm always cautious with parrots that I don't know, especially big ones
What’s your thoughts on a brown headed parrot?
I find these names confusing. Brown-necked parrot - p fuscicollis or Brown-headed parrot - p cryptoxanthus
you may really mean brown-headed.
In any case, 2 diff species, both known to be very sweet. I have never seen p cryptoxanthus; I have 3 p fuscicollis. I LOVE them. They are one of my top favorite species. I would get a p cryptoxanthus with confidence, assuming the bird would be very similar.
