Have spoken with former singer J-Sin various times recently - the guy is very down to earth and cool. He'll communicate with fans and friends on his fb page and talk shop about anything at all. As to what Primer 55 is up to these days..The band changes members every 3 weeks (literally - the band members names change every few weeks on the facebook page. These guys Bobby hires can't be paid much if anything at all, and you would think even local musicians would by now be aware about how Bobby and Primer 55 work, and NOT want to work for a band situation like this?) and Bobby for whatever reason doesn't want to use a decent lead singer anymore - he does vocals himself. I asked professionally (and nicely) what was up with this, and he deleted the post then blocked me from the band's page. Judging from recent videos, it only seems about 9 people are there by the stage. A shame, because years earlier this band was very decent.
@@MissChelle857 are you his daughter??...I had the tee shirt to the album introduction to mayhem with the cartoon chick's fighting that albums legendary😃
One of the most cliched nu metal bands ever. But yeah, I remember da farmclub show, I think it was hosted by matt pinfield. A LOT off nu-metal bands were on that show. Matt helped bring nu-metal on a higher platform.
It says in the description that these guys are from Memphis. That is simply not true. One of the members was from Memphis, but the band originates from Louisville, Ky. The reason I know this is because I myself am from Louisville, and remember when they were a big part of our local music scene back in the day. You might want to edit the description of the video.
Man, FarmClub was the shit back then... So many bands got their start on here... I remember when Linkin Park was nothing performing One Step on here... Granted they suck these days... but Farm Club was awesome!!!!!
J-Sin unfortunately passed away last year and Primer 55 still plays but Bobby cant keep decent people. He's basically ran the band into the ground, he's the soul remainder of the band and has driven away all the fans cuz only 9 or so people attend and watch.
check out stinkbug from tx...1990...they did this...also 'hellified funk cre' and several others after Biohazard came out.....crossover happened around 89...MOIST
Back when bassists were still HEARD (outside of classical, jazz and tech bands). \m/
Nu metal bassists are also technical ones and outstanding. But old school metal head blame them for guitar they don't see bass
After soulfly
@@michalkossakowski6686yeah soulfly you couldn't really hear the bass,,,,everybody else had the fieldy tone wich sounds cool as hell.
@@user-ni1gq9hg5d i was meanning this bass Player have episode in soulfly band😅
@@michalkossakowski6686 what kinda episode?
That bass line is nice. Good mic work on the drums, especially for that time period. Points to the engineers at this event :)
man i agree completely. everything is mixed so incredibly well with the drums.
Shit was so brutal back in the day.. I saw them over 12 times at the metro in Chicago. Great times
Can't lie i envy those experiences man
The guitar riffs sound absolutely phenomenal. I'd have the time of my life if I was there

Nobody can replace J-Sin as a vocalist, he was fucking rough and tough!
Rip
I wish I could have asked him about why they stormed off the stage after playing just a couple songs in Philly.
RIP J-SIN
@Chad Gold he died from hepatitis-C August 2017.

These dudes were the shit in the late 90s
I noticed that in nu metal they tune the bass guitar more louder than the guitar live but it sounds fucking sick and dark for some reason

He made a ridiculous statement saying that anyone who was a fan of the band back in the JSin Days aren’t Primer 55 Fans now. SUPER interesting 🙄🙄

Sounds like Limp Biscuit when they first started.
@ChimChimandChimaira I know it, but the riff that these guys use is similar. -.-
I'd say that's a cover of "Pollution"... but I prefer the original :)
