Your video was the Medicine I needed Sir, Thank you. It brought back some Awesome Memories of when my Andrea was little. I raised her as a single father from age 5 tell age 13, we spent many days together in the outdoors hunting, and fishing, with fishing being her favorite. I have few photo's and no video's of my little angle. I don't say this for sympathy only to encourage you and others father's to take plenty of both as we never know what life will throw at us tomorrow? I also wanted to Say Thank You for serving our Great Country and Your Local Community as a Firemen! I don't believe our First Responders are Recognized Enough for putting their life on the line day in and day out, As far as I'm concerned YOUR ALL HERO'S " THANK YOU! "
Wonderful video! I taught my daughter to fish too. Love seeing a man of God who loves his kids! About cooking up that fish. Did I see you marinate those filets in mustard?? Make a video with more cooking detail please. Your batter and hush puppy recipe I'd like to see. Thanks for sharing this. I'll be looking for that soap. It'd make a good "emergency" bait anyway. 😀
Thanks for watching and commenting! I probably marinated it in mustard yes. I do that a lot. It’s been a while since I made this video so I’d have to go back and watch it.
Yep seen people use it my whole life… They stretch a tight line with little to no weight in shallower water. Soap lines usually work earlier in the year. 👍
We used soap all the time when I was a kid, lard soap. but a lot of people used it. Haven't thought about soap bait in many years, brings back old memories...
I am from Northeast Arkansas and an old man. I used to know who is no longer with us. Used to swear by the red laugh boy soap. It's all he would use on his trot lines and he said he could kill. All the fish he wanted honey and just kept all of it.Cut up and little small cubes and an old cool wheel bowl to take with him
I use it in the shower, it is soap., not detergent. All of the rest of the bars night as well be Dawn. Go to a Mexican store because Amazon charges twice what it costs.
@RedlineOutdoors How cool is that! I live in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Hunting, fishing, loving every day is my way of life! God bless America and God bless our President Trump!
I used to run across a fella on Lake Darbonne who used Zote on limb lines. He seemed to catch a lot of fish. Those were some good fish you caught. Tasty for sure.
I dont know if the company is still un business but Ace's catfish soap. I got some myself have not teied it yet,but just maybe even better than Zote? Only reason i say this is its specialty made dor our catfish purpose so? Theroy? It should be better.
I just dont see how its going to stay on a hook? Esp with a catfish "bump." The theroy us indeed sound with any old fashioned lye soap as its made with Hog lard. Thinking?if the bait actually works well? Maybe soap & the old panty hose thing you can put more soap bait out & not get robbed nearly as bad.
With just a little more of a accent and he would make a good Ernest P W***, ....if you know what I mean Vern...😱 just the way the camera goes back and forth reminds me of a Ernest show , lol

I appreciate that!!! Thanks for watching!
😂😂😂r we putting it back … Nooooooooooooo!!! Hahaha catch and release to the grease 💯✊🏿
The kid “animal fat thats disgusting” 😂
You can use ivory soap to it works good
Folks around here have been using Ivory soap to catch catfish as long as I can remember and I am 65.
As a kid we would sometimes use homemade lye soap
When we were kids we used homemade lye soap. We rendered our own hog lard and made soap from the lard
I suppose it’s the animal fat that attracts the catfish?
Best thing to keep Nats off your face is skin so soft works great for nats.

Never heard of that soap! I’ll have to look it up.
@@RedlineOutdoors he might be talking about lifebouy soap not laugh boy.
I've heard of people baiting trotlines with Irish spring.

Get yourself some Real Vanilla and splash it on. It works great up here in Iowa. Love that catfish.
WOW... FREAKING HUGE CATFISH....I would of loved to have some of your catfish 💞😇

I started using zote least 20 years ago , ivory soap works too
I’m so glad that I grew up in the South aka Dixie!
New to your channel. Do you think Zote soap would in Northern part of ohio on a fishing rod. P.S. enjoying the channel a lot.
Nice video!
Thanks bro!

Get yourself a few railroad spikes for weights... you can twist a half hitch in your line and drop it much quicker...
Thanks for the tip!!
Mkight sound wierd to you but try horseradish mustard on catfish, stay safe redline buddy
Redline..did u every try Ivory brand soap for catfish, I hear that works well also
How long does it stay on the hook
Very good
What size hook did you use?
That’s about a 4/0. I’d use circle hooks if you had a choice thanks for watching
Just wondering we can eat the fish after using soap
I’m sure those catfish have eaten way worse than soap 😂
@@RedlineOutdoors Oh I am sure for us more
Thank you for the info just tired of the turtles in my ponds
Chunks great video brother
It’s crazy just how much meat are on catfish that size! It don’t take many for a feast
No doubt
Fish this lake a lot. We have always have better luck down at the dam.
