If I didn't already know some Hungarian, I think I would find this video a little difficult.
I am Hungarian but I think the same. If someone doesn't speak Hungarian they won't understand a single thing of this. It was really entertaining to me as a Hungarian.
I don't know anything of Hungarian but this video helps me to be honest,and for an italian like me is very difficult understand this language that seems me strange lòl

I'm only at lesson#2 and already can attest that this language series is the most charming I have ever seen. And in the scenes/dialogues where there is double Zsuzi, I just don't know which one to look. I'm going crazy.

There are a lot of conjugations and inflections in Hungarian language. I somehow gave up learning in the past tense... But I want to learn it again!

I went to Budapest in business travel twice last year and that is where I discovered this wonderful and intriguing language. I keep watching the videos all over. Still as a Spanish and English speaker it is hard forme to memorize the words since I cannot find any relation with my mother tongue. So far the grammar makes logic although the rules are quite different, and that is why I found the language so interesting. I am looking forward to go back to Hungary, but this time for vacation. Will it be possible, if not release already, a video for pronunciation? There are some consonants that have similar sounds and I would like to learn how they are pronounced accurately. Also, I would like some suggestions in good books to learn Hungarian grammar. Cheers from Miami.
I don't know anything of Hungarian at all; nevertheless, I was able to understand quite well what she was explaining, thanks to the draws and the mimics. I liked the video. As a suggestion, I would ask to add subtitles, in Hungarian. I learnt French just using French material, nothing bilingual, I believe it can works too for Hungarian. With the time course, I believe some words and sentences will repeat themselves and, hence, by reading and memorization, we will be learning Hungarian.

It would be good if it mixed with english. As A1 level it has to be mixed with english to let the beginner student understand. When you speak totally in Hungarian, it totallly make the student confused. I am just giving a suggestions. Thanks for a great Hungarian language lesson which we can not see any better than it in youtube!.

Most of the endings have two or more forms. The vowel of the suffix must harmonize with the vowel of the word. :)

I,ve learned Hungaran when I was student there, But I am some where elso and I forgot it.
That middle part made no sense to me at all. The beginning made sense from what I've already studied and the end did but all her talk about the vowels was confusing.

I still don't understand how to pronounce the 'gy' sometimes it sounds like a 'dj' and sometime it sounds like a 'gj' (like when you say the word Magyarul). Any help?

No... way! We say "csá" in swedish too (tja) and it doesn't seem to be a loanword. Our "tja" is a short version of "tjena" which in turn is a short word for "tjenare" and it comes from the word "tjäna" (to serve) and "tjänare" (servant).
@Ducesweden I think in Hungarian it comes from the Italian ciao. We just cut the o at the end. It's a new word, very informal, rather a slang, my granparents didnt use or had it in their vocabulary.
I wish they had put English translations for all the greeting words. Really can't tell the difference between "good morning" and "good evening".

Mind a kettő forma helyes. A kezit csókolom régiesebb.

Words with back or mixed vowels recive endings wih bacl vowel (autó type in the video). :)
