"ewwww" Is the same that I think when I go to United States and I eat mc donalds, burger king, dominos and all their procesed and fake food. Viva mexico :)
@1ellenfanever: She doesn't actually eat sun screen, air freshener, shampoo, etc. The prop people put edible substances in the bottle like yogurt or water. I bet sometimes they even replace alcohol with non-alcoholic liquids.
they are cooked, or fried, and they taste really good, I swear to you guys, my sister's high school had culinary experiences and I taste to 1 or 2, they really are delicious!
Chapulines (grasshoppers) You can find it in markets of Oaxaca city. It's very common in the central area of Oaxaca. In fact it belongs among other things like mole, tlayudas, etc. in the richest and delicious food heritage in Mexico.
You guys I'm serious Crickets are delicious! I mean it! they kind of taste like chicken, just better. I can't wait to have some cricket tacos. This is Pre-hispanic food from Mexico and even though they are rare, they are part of common dishes in Mexico. People need to be more open-minded, this is the best way to get to know the culture of a country and that is through food!
Oh and just so people know, they're not crickets, they're grasshoppers from mostly the corn fields of Oaxaca, Mexico. Grasshoppers, not crickets!! And yes they are quite delicious although not too much when they're too big. lol.
@egocentric69 I'm from Mexico City and I do eat them and find them absolutely delicious. I bet you don't eat escamoles either, what a pity, because this isn't just about food it's also about culture!
***** mmmh...some are salty like roasted peanuts, but crunchy... and others are like red wine vinager or a pickled vegetable. Thats why they go so well with guacamole
I'm sorry to break it to you, but you are not Mexican then jajajaaja. I have never personally tried them but I know they are from Mexico and it's very popular. Nevertheless, Natalie don't be so ignorant. It's not good for you.
