I think what's it's saying is this, they are a Christian band, so I'm putting this in a Christian perspective, I think what he's saying is that while we're on this earth we need to be the saviors to people, and he also seems to imply that none of these countries are our true home, consider the lines "They will not control us anymore, we will not confirm, no, anymore." I think it's a call for us to save the world and realize that we're not of this world and that these kings, presidents, dictators, etc, are not our rulers. Looking at it from a Christian perspective, of course.

You do what you want to in life. What you do is up to you and you alone don't let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your goals because your life is in your hands and with that if you try and really put your mind to it and put in al the effort you can you can do anything.
You can't help those who won't help themselves and it's a bad idea to try. Truly if you wish to make the world a better place it's better to work on self improvement and better yourself, particularly before trying to make a serious difference in the world as doing so will in and of itself help make the world a better place.

To everyone who says this isn't Christian music,
I completely respect your opinion, but the actual definition of 'Savior' is someone who saves someone or something. Technically, yes, Jesus IS our Savior, but we could also be Saviors to other people and be counted as Saviors. The title 'Savior' isn't like 'Lord' and can only be tied to one person. Yes, The Trinity is the only Lord, but not the only Savior. Firemen, Doctors, Surgeons, all could qualify as Saviors
