    I’m happy for Ray Cooper! Might be the biggest win of his career (as far as name value goes), awesome fight! Hope he gets his revenge in the finals and wins his second PFL Championship!

    "That's the second time he's finished on top tonight."

    ^^ announcer at end of round 2. I was in actual tears, hope I'm not the only one to catch that...

    What happened to Rory.. just doesn’t have that killer instinct anymore and just poor technique at this point.

      He was never the same after the Lawler rematch, even with his wins you could see that he would play it safe and wouldn’t go for finishes or take more risks with his striking. He used to be able to pick guys apart from distance with simple strikes but would mix them up so well his opponents never would be able to figure him out. Now he’s become so much more predictable and hesitant. You could kinda tell he hasn’t enjoyed fighting after his departure with the UFC

      @@jasondumas3612 no doubt Ray was the better fighter, but he himself even admitted that Rory hasn’t been the same fighter for a long time

    That was absolutely trash from rory. Went from a guy who could get up from under Maia easily, to this. I don't understand.

      Rory didnt want to stand and trade with him. He clipped Rory once and almost put him out when they were on the feet, and when they were in the clinch he hit rory with a knee up the middle that almost put him down.

      Yea I was disappointed. He doesn't seem the same. Does he still train at Tristar Gym?

    • @Apologia5
      @Apologia5 2 года назад

      @@JGD185 As far as I know he is still with Tri Star but for the last couple fights I think he went down to Florida to train with a different camp for part of his preparations. I think it's good that fighters switch things up and don't stick with the same gym and style of coaching their entire careers.

    • @JGD185
      @JGD185 2 года назад

      @@Apologia5 I agree with mixing it up sometimes but you look at his last few fights and that hasn't worked out so well. I think about how GSP stayed with Firas Zahabi for most of his career

    • @Apologia5
      @Apologia5 2 года назад

      @@JGD185 I think we would agree that GSP is a rare breed and can't really use him as an example. I think Rory was only at this camp for this one and his fight before.....but he hasn't been looking great if you look at his past 5 fights before that when he was still just at Tristar. He's just not as good as he used to be regardless of the camp he is at.
