Wow.... the Eminem show is arguably he's best album. Its a must listen.
Slim shady LP is the one still
Marshall mathers Lp for me
@@adrianmolina821 i just love no matter where you go someone has a favorite eminem album!
Y'all both react to the Eminem show trust me it's worth it
Also it may help you connect some of the concepts of this new album
they have to, its a no brainer imo
Yep, up there with his best, if someone told me it was their favourite album, I wouldn't argue
This guy gets it I would be here for a relisten with y'all's ears on the Eminem show, literally an amazing album front to back
Hell yeah ! Pls do this
I respect anyone's opinion when it comes to EM', even when they say he's not their favorite rapper. What I get pissed about is when they give reasons that r so dumb; like he can't rap or doesn't say anything etc... EM' worked his ass off to be what he is today as far as lyricism goes, he literally read the dictionary to learn words. I also get so pissed with his "stans" about how they go off on people for saying he's not their favorite rapper, it gives all his fans a bad rep.
I'm 54 and had 4 boys, one loved rap one rock one was ginger and into very angry metal 🤣 I let them all listen to what they wanted, bleach their hair and look like hedgehogs.
Today they're all qualified engineers in different areas and very individual.
I was brought up Catholic military and church of England and knew every way on and off military bases worldwide, not safe!
Left home at 15 so got where I got with no education or so called family help.
Everyone allowed an opinion as long as it's not stupid and dangerous! 😅❤
Jesus lads you've got to react to the Eminem show. Unbelievable body of work
The Eminem Show is the biggest album he ever did
The Eminem show basically raised me... it was my intro to EM, then I obviously listened to SSLP and MMLP, but Eminem Show is a classic and to me ... has no skips. Hope you do listen. I'll be here 😊
The Eminem show album is top notch .
I can’t believe that yall haven’t heard the Eminem Show album. White America, Business, Soldier, Sing for the Moment and Superman are just bangers IMO
This is now child's play for Em bc he is THAT talented FR 🐐👽 Nobody gives us these kinds of flows and delivery 💯 He keeps giving us new ones too so he works HARD at his craft and he earned that G.O.A.T status 🙌🔥
The Death of Slim Shady is a piece of art - a concept album with the story weaved through the album.
His album before this one was Music to Be Murdered By (and rhe deluxe version called Side B). He went CRAZY with lyricism, double and triple entendres and rhyme schemes. Just absolutely mind bending. Its one of my favorite albums of 2020s.
I was born in 75 so i grew up in the beginning of hip hop/rap. I love the purist in Eminem. Love the references! I was front row at big daddy kane and mc lyte in the 8th grade 😂😂😂😂
By the way, I’ve been watching you guys grow for a while… I love your breakdowns, you may not be other reaction RUclipsr but your shit is relatable and sometimes I love how you don’t know anything about a certain Artist that I am Trippin about but because you had a focus at a time that Artist was hitting. Never ever think your reactions to these big drops that are relevant especially this year being a good year for Hip-Hop. You guys fucking rock.
eminem show is an insane album🔥🔥🔥
WTF. Eminem show was a great album. You should check it out. It's worth the journey.
Kamikaze is an amazing album
The Eminem show is my absolute favorite album! Got me through high school and beyond!
The amount of respect this album is getting is something it deserves. The amount of work this man put into the concept and production is insane and the themes he touched are so well put
So, I’m admittedly a bit of a Stan, but I’m a newer one. I really do recommend digging through Em’s entire catalogue (more about why below). Maybe something to consider as a starting point after working through this album, go back to the beginning (or since you’re familiar with his earliest stuff, beginning with The Eminem Show), and for each album, put up a poll with all of that album’s songs so that viewers can vote for say the top 4 or 5 songs they think are essential, and you can react to those (and more if you’re just really enjoying what Em’s doing on any particular album). I’d say that if a song has an official music video, it’s essential to include that in the reaction.
Anyway, Em first blew up when I was in high school, and I enjoyed all of his singles and music videos, but I never bothered to buy/listen to any whole albums. The Super Bowl performance got me in my nostalgic feels, and that’s when I began my journey down the Eminem 🐇 🕳️. He’s such a fascinating person, and his genius is obvious in every album, and it’s impossible to miss if you just open your mind/ear to it.
Being totally honest, there are several songs on each one of his albums that I’m good just hearing once or twice because I just don’t connect for one reason or another. That being said, every single one of his albums has amazing stuff that I’ll never tire of listening to. 😂 And even though each album has a recognizable individual identity/sound, he manages to consistently offer up something for a variety of tastes - there’s usually always at least one whacky/fun song, there’s usually at least one song that’ll punch you in the gut emotionally, there’s usually always at least one song that puts his incredible storytelling ability on display and makes you feel like you’re seeing a movie play out in front of you, and there are always a few songs where he goes off the deep end showing off what a technician he is (whether it’s finding unexpected pockets and switching up flows, carrying out insane rhyme schemes and overall verse structure, etc.)
I agree. Good luck with the journey.
I'm 24 years in as a fan now and I can still play any album or just select his discography and play.
I still will hear a song I have heard 100 times or more, and something will just light up like a bar or reference or something that I never noticed.
He has layers upon layers upon layers. To me no one is better. I like other rappers, but no one comes close to Em.
Flows, cadence, lyrics, clarity, storytelling, creativity, speed, delivery, meanings the list goes on and on.
I honestly don't even have a favourite Em song/songs let alone albums. It is really mood dependent if I select an album.
Not sure if you know his feature songs but I recommend at least these ones.
Best friend
Guts over fear
Medicine man
Majesty
Don't aproach me
EPMD 2
Killer remix
Chloraseptic remix
last one standing
Thats all she wrote
"My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise
At the same time, can make you dry your eyes
With the same rhyme, see, what you're seein'
Is a genius at work, which to me isn't work
So it's easy to misinterpret it at first, ‘cause when I speak
It's tongue-in-cheek, I'd yank my fuckin' teeth
Before I'd ever bite my tongue, I'd slice my gums"
I don't get the same experience from other artists that Em gives me.
arcane= understood by few; mysterious or secret.
@@marshmellow-pq9zr I was trying to somewhat shorten my comment, so tried to keep it simple. 😳😂 But yes, I am familiar with many of Em’s “side projects,” if you will and also highly recommend those - features on other artists’ songs, non-album singles, soundtracks, Bad Meets Evil, Slaughterhouse, etc. Admittedly, I actually don’t know much of D12’s stuff.
And yep, that’s what he tends to really save up his absolute best for. 🤯
IMO, Em’s verse on “Best Friend” with Yelawolf is his absolute best single verse ever. It’s incredibly dense in content, but so cohesive, with the peace vs violence, religious, and higher power themes. Quite a few direct Biblical references (particularly to Revelation). Combine that with the cadence and the emotion in the delivery, and it’s an otherworldly creative genius taking to yet another level. “Medicine Man” is a very, very close second for best Em verse.
Wish you would listen to the album in the story it’s suppose to be told…. Listen first track to last track its marshal killing slim… last track to first track it’s slim killing Marshall…
MMLP and TES are Em's best works. His status in hip hop is forever solidified because of those albums
Eminem show was Eminem best album imo plus Eminem wrote all his 8 mile soundtrack songs at that time too..
WHAT??? The Eminem Show is incredible
Eminem show is definitely his best album it's a masterpiece
Hey guys, I loved your reaction to this! Even if you aren't trying to catch and break down every bar, just getting to see you put the song under a microscope and react frame by frame to the parts you appreciate most is really fun for viewers who already like the song!!
Eminem Show and Recovery are 🔥🔥🔥 11/10
MMLP2 has some gems too like "Bad Guy" and "Legacy"
EMINEM SHOWWWWW!!!
1:17 Yes! Em makes sure to always give shouts to the legends & OGs. It makes me look them up and listen to them.
You need to check out Eminem show for sure - it was top 3 of his albums for a long time.
The Ringer, Fall, and The Greatest are fire 🔥 and then there's Rap God
Rap god sucks, a song for ur mom and dad. Wow this dude rap fast he is so good
@@heynn2730 lol right. Thanks for your insight.
The fast rapping is 15sec from a 6min song. So it's like 4% of that song.
The song was actually a call out to any top tier rapper to see if they would challenge him.
Once again crickets. Just like now.
Arcane: understood by a few, mysterious or secret.
Definitely need to listen to the eminem show and relapse both are amazing albums
E40 ft spice 1, 2pac- Dusted and disgusted was flames back in the day
EMINEM SHOW!!!!!
Even if you don’t like Eminem, you gotta be dead respectful of that skill tho
No way you guys never heard "White America", "Cleanin' Out My Closet", "Soldier", "Without Me", "Sing For The Moment", "Superman", "When The Music Stops" & "Till I Collapse" of of The Eminem Show 🤯
OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO of Reba McEntire "FANCY"
I believe in Uno revers TDOSS album order makes the mos sense conceptually. Chefs kiss
i really enjoyed the ending to this video and i honestly wish its something you 2 specifically did more of. An actual podcast type video of you without any video to react to where you just show your knowledge would be something id be watching as much of as I can.
Eminem show is my favorite album
I personally feel as though you can’t justify your opinion on him, whether it’s good or bad, if you haven’t listened to his whole body of work. If you haven’t, then your making an assumption
You guys definitely need to listen to the eminem show and encore
eminem show is a no skip album and completely different from first 2, from content, voice and flows
i always respect ppl being honest and real about stuff but also giving the artist their probs and aknowledge the art, effort and skill . There are many reasons to not like something or like it but not bump it, or look at choose your medium^^ but not liking and respecting ar wa diff from just plain hating. So ye never had a problem with this but some ppl just are asshats
The Eminem Show is his best album hands down imo...
@Pegasus....Shout Out to Paul Wall and The Color Changing Click.....mixtape in college went soooo hard......Chamillionaire as well!!!!
Dom, I doubt you even read these, but this is all love when I say react to it criticize it. We want to hear you guys break it down and also say something of value, even if you’re listening to the greats. That’s what makes your channel great. We both are very valuable in our dynamic duo when it comes down to your reactions. We love when you’re both here, I love when, he interrupts the song but at the same time I don’t catch things as quick as him my ADHD brain moves a lot quicker than a lot of peoples, but I’m just not as talented lyrically as you guys. But at the same time, I need to rehear things multiple times, but I want to be interrupted so I don’t miss it or at least perspective that I might not be seeing. You guys are rocking it, bro don’t worry about any of this and I hope I’m not being weird by being all positive but it’s true. That’s why I come to this channel. I’ve seen reactions by so many people of so many of these songs, but I like you guys, just like Stevie night do you boo as long as you’re not disrespectful if you’re being critical it’s a respect that is yours and anybody else can F themselves
it’s not being a hater, bro. It’s been a connoisseur. It’s being somebody who loves the culture and the craft enough to put your two cents in. I’m not half as good as any of these guys I don’t disrespectfully criticize but you guys have the right to share your viewand what you’re hearing so we can all have a better experience. I’m gonna shut up. I’m being preachy. I had a really really large edible.
I do wanna say I love you guys so much even if I’ve seen your video. I make sure to play it on my two RUclips accounts that both subscribe, and in my weird Tesla when I’m doing business on my phone in my car. Just make sure you guys, have the algorithm show the love you deserve
What a prophet. BP, you said it would be a 20 minute breakdown. The TC was 23:51. Way to dissect this as I, a 68 yr old white guy, can't understand his pace. But, another great reaction. You and Don are epic.
The Eminem show is his best album. You missed a true Gem. We need a reaction video to The Eminem Show.
I gotta let y'all know, so many RUclipsrs also hate on Em to get views. So it goes both ways
MJ's kid was called blanket too!!
Yes that's Michael jackson bar innuendo bars are fantastic
Ah bro you brought up eyedea. That's fire
Gives me rabbit run vibes bro ❤
19:03 Thank you for acknowledging that. Yes, Fanta has figured out a way to rage bait Em's huge fanbase to increase engagement and hates on Em to accomplish that.
Love your honesty gents🙏🏼
Eminem Show is one of the greatest albums of all time, any genre or era lol how have you not listened to it?
Krizz is so dope, hes in my Top 5. He is so multitalented its insane.
Haha, Em was speaking to the man in specs there. Lol
New artis request in Slade who had 6 uk No.1s….3 entered at top spot…..and were the biggest selling singles artist in the 70’s. Cum on feel the Noize or Mama we’er all crazee now…both covered by Quiet Riot
Bro that wutang clan sign is so fucking lit!! Ive not seen it til now😅great reaction!!
You did miss out. The Eminem Show is widely and arguably considered the best Em album. My favorite is MMLP but Eminem Shown is up there
J Cole on 9th Wonder beats sounds like a dream!
I would love to hear you react to Zager and Evans- In The Year 2525
Bro… you missed out on Eminem’s BEST ALBUM which was the Eminem Show!!! “Soldier”, “till I collapse”, “cleaning out my closet”….my 3 favorite off that album but the whole album is a 10.
JEFF was HERE 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Music is subjective to the ear of the beholder so fack everyone that belittles you for your choice of menu!!
Hey Boyz! I checked your videos out and it doesn’t look like you’ve reacted to ‘gimme shelter’ by The Rolling Stones….this is one of their very best songs of all time! Check it out even if you don’t particularly like the band…..you won’t be sorry !!
BEST album 2024
You should do a reaction to The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, by Gordon Lightfoot. It’s a song about the actual event that happened in 1975. I think you’d really like the song.
Eminem show is worth your time and effort. 41 year old kiwi stan😂
Yao, that's FAX WannaB, once I started getting to Indie lvl of opening for and meeting Nipsey(RIP), Mickey Factz, E Ness Young Bleed, Mr. Pookie(gave me a fire ft) ChinoXL, Mr Cheeks, and on and on, they looking at me, like Why? And meanwhile, I'm actually living the life their raps told me to live, meaning I thought I had to live it to talk about it, and White Boy from NOVA/DMV in Chocolate City was a tough angle to crack Independently. Point being, the closer I got to the industry, the more I wondered if I wanted to make it there! I just wanted to work on music and delve into the creative writing and production aspect, own video treatments, like we had motion, but hindsight being 20/20, not saying none of names I mentioned weren't bout that life, but not all of them were. NIP WAS BY FAR THE MOST HUMBLE GRATEFUL DUDE I MEANT FROM INDUSTRY!!!! It was honor to even step on same stage he did. I agree with your premise 1000%, cuz I walked in those shoes, so I know, and IYKYK!!!!Gr8 Content Gentleman!!!!🎯🙏💯❤️🔥🔥💨💨🎤👑🥷
Just came across you tonight, have you experienced Randy Travis yet? Look up Three Wooden Crosses (original and duo with Josh Turner) , Forever and Ever Amen, He Walked on Water, On the Other Hand. You will enjoy every one of them, guaranteed.
We viewers have it easy, we only watch reactions to stuff that we like and that we are top 1% fans of. I don't really like people who hype everything because they do it for the views.
Black Pegasus, react to the, "billy joel leningrad". This is a beautiful but sad song.
mark twain - Adventures of huckleberry finn (child endangerment)
Hinder “Lips Of An Angel”
And MJs kid name was Blanket
im telling you bro, you need to listen to the albums in order, and in real time you can hear the evolution when you listen to all the albums in like a week. his evolution as a lyricist and writer is immaculate. sure some of his beat choices/producer choices were weak on some but the writing is always top notch.
🔥 intro and 🔥 outro!!!!
Id love feedback on what Im about to say. If anyone else, or heard of anyone that noticed what I just did. If you think about the Edward Scissor Hands line, I mean really think about it, its a really cool mind blown moment. All the words I put in "parentheses" so you cant miss the obvious relation. Edward Scissor Hands Was a really "Talented Artist", who lived as a "Recluse" in a mansion. When he went out would cause "unwanted attention". Was judged by his "appearance". And was "Bullied" by people bc he was "different". Couldnt have normal relationships with woman lol I'll end with, Ed Sciz Hnds and Em are "anomalies", nobody else like him. And Used their "one gift" (Scissor Hands)- Ems (mouth/words) to make incredible art that was undeniable. Last but not least, they both used their unique talents to kill their enemies. Especially when they involved the woman they loved. Its amazing because on the surface it would seem like he used the E.S.H line for just the slice connection. Then I literally just put it together just now bc I asked myself why he used that name specifically, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Its no coincidence when you know how em thinks/writes. I think I noticed this bc Im mentally in my creative space at the moment. This is why Em is loved! Greatness!!
Fire reaction guys 🔥
You guys are awesome. 20:15 People missing old school bars. This is a perfect example of this. I'm even older than you guys. He also shouted out Intelligent Hoodlum (aka, Tragedy Khadafi) QB icon, and Wise Intelligent from Poor Righteous Teachers.
MJ's kid that he hung off of the balcony is named "Blanket" too. "Elephantiasis" is a disease that makes body part HUGE. So "Elephantiasis of the nuts" is self-explanatory. Also, the concept of "Elephantiasis of the nuts", specifically is from the movie The Breakfast Club.
I so wish I had a Red phone to BP because I think he might never read these comments, or at least not that often. Or an email address. Not to annoy, but to make sure he sees stuff like this. And yes, I also know about Apollo Brown (although granted it is just the Ghostface album),. I'm old but I love music. And 9th Wonder, although I am only really familiar with him through Little Brother (one of the most slept on groups EVER), and his cool-ass interviews.
15:35 - This is how I grew up listening to hip hop. I grew up in a redneck town (I am one) trying to decipher The 5% Nation lyrics from Brand Nubian's One for All in 1990 at a high volume in my busted Honda CRX, lyrics of which I never fully understood (still probably don't completely) until the internet came out despite subscribing to The Final Call newspaper and buying Farrakhan speeches on VHS (not knowing at the time that the NOI and 5% Nation of Gods and Earths are not the same thing). It was like trying to read cult code (which it turns out to actually be in most ways. LOL.)
Understood by few..mysterious..
Not all Em fans are mental - I completely respect Don's opinions on Em.
I also know 9th Wonder and all the groups he referenced - we're not all just Em fans 😛
You can’t tell me you’ve never heard “Till I collapse”
I love that you guys are saying how you felt after his first two albums… I always said I’m not really end Eminem, but he’s a bad motherfucker, after Marshall LP I just didn’t feel it and I liked certain things variety of things but underground and Immortal technique all these different guys that Eminem just did not fill my excitement for. You guys discussing this makes me feel validated as a 42-year-old white boy who always liked Hip-Hop more than most of my friends.
(doing talk to text please ignore the horrible grammar
With all that being said, he’s one of the most intelligent wordsmiths to ever do it
If you have time to watch some 80's rock again, check it out Slade - Ohh La La In L.A. (UK TV 15th August 1987). Noddy Holder's (vocal) voice is amazing.
He used to wear a doo rag wrapped around his right hand and he really grabbed his balls a lot
Krizz is a dawg. Bring him on again BP
7:35 bars. Lol he's so slick with his entendres
People get mad in the reactions because you think your shit dont stink...but You Do You Boo.
The Eminem show was way different than the SSlp and MMlp. It had more bangers and the flows he was using were on steroids. That Em was him being in God mode to me
idk what this is all about but i don’t have to know the history of rap and know who made it, just be in the present time, Em is just topping and that’s the end if the story, it’s not about music, it’s about success
I dont have a clue what any of it means, but am open minded enough to appreciate someone's ability to express themselves how they see fit. We dont have to like everyone's style, but we should give them their props for expressing it. Freedom of speech! God Bless America! Another great reaction, as usual.
You should check out a reaction channel like knoxx hill when it comes to this guys songs, hes like an eminem translator for people who dont follow it lol. His songs are usually packed with references and double meanings.
react to "Smile" by Eyedea and Abilities. Special...
You guys ever listen to Cage? Should listen to “agent Orange” or Leakbros album..
Couple of hours out? I had it yesterday 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 guess the time zone for me and never sleeping means I got to hear before #blackpegasusraps 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
How can you listen to mmlp and not be eagerly awaiting his next album release? 😂
You did miss out on The Eminem Show but then you can really skip ahead to Recovery unless you can appreciate the Dark horror core stuff with accents of Relapse. But Recovery, MMLP2, Kamikaze, MTBMB are all proje to youll love. Probably shouldn't listen to Revival due to the political content but there's still some fire on there 😂😂 edit: the Bad Meets Evil project was insane too.
You should react to Eminem Show. You can't really say peak Eminem, as it feels like he's in his peak right now.. But I cant think of other words to describe it. Let's just say it's absolutely worth a listen
I would say it was the peak of his first wave on the scene, he started to loose it a bit with encore because of the drug issues and the leaks then he had his several year hiatus and this is porbably the peak of his second wave i would say. Its definately up there for me.
Love y'all students of the game like myself I mean B. P I think we are same age I'll be 44 in September so we grew up on same hip hop / rap generation
