Lagos is such a multicultural environment where everyone speaks English and Pidgin and in order to interact you need to be able to speak very minimal Yoruba because the fora for using such language skills are not much. For me, understanding Igbo is not the problem because my parents spoke to us in Igbo at home. I agree with what you said in your post about those of us that were born and raised in Lagos, and same is true for many of us that are overseas. The problem is there but what are we Igbos doing to reduce or correct this problem? Perhaps if guys like you can teach us the language via online, it will be a very welcome development. You can use youtube to disseminate your information through like an Igbo learning channel progressing from basic to advanced.
