@@Nathan1975Liggy check in circuit diagram a 220 ohms resistor is connected to the Anode of Red Led while the Led Cathode pin is connected to the collector pin of the transistor but when soldering, the resistor position is changed with red Led position, one side of the 220 ohms resistor is connected to the collector of an NPN transistor (BC 547).maybe this change in positios between Led per diagram and resistor vs practical soldering explains why Led is always ON. I haven't tested the circuit yet but if I am going to test it then I will do it per soldering not per diagram. Maybe the author can tell us more ,by the way ,I'm not an expert in this area ,I do some innovations and therefore have to learn constantly and pay attention to every detail before I try anything
Otherwise, congrats Tech ideas, it is great, simple and working perfectly. The only thing you could possibly check again is difference between the circuit diagram and actual soldering on positios of Red Led and a 220ohms resistor

Drone doubt. One thing is not clear in this video (f450 video ) . ESC without BEC. 1. First doubt if we buy all 4 esc with bec or just one? 2. Not clear if the if the external voltage regulator (BEC) is connected to all ESC or just one. Because in f450, we solder all 4 ESC, and I couldn't see how it connected, to where /which component etc 3. If all 4 ESC have built in BEC, should we disable it? Should the red wire removed and only data & negative wire is connected to the flight control board? I saw something like that somewhere. So Please clarify..

When he/she asked if the the circuit can work at night and daylight , probably the circuit was understood as being a light sensor while it is actually a proximity sensor,or the person wanted to know if the circuit is not affected by the sunlight, of course these IR device s are prone to sunlight. Otherwise Tech ideas deserves a credit for a good work, he has shown a way our task is to congratulate him and if possible improve it in terms of the range it can detect, other applications etc
Why is the place of red led different between actual building and circuit diagram? In the circuit, red led is between the collector and 220 ohm while in actual setup it's found connecting between 220ohm and photo diode. Curious to know which is correct, pls.

same here mate. found 2 circuits on RUclips now one uses an LM358 OpAmp and that was the same. both circuits the LED is permanently on
