Out of the truck, puts SCBA on and pulls a line has it charged and water on the fire in roughly 1 minute 25 seconds. Now that is impressive. Strong work from a firefighter in Texas!
Yeah, you see so many firemen dragging their ass under the, "Don't run on scene" BS. These guys weren't running, but they sure weren't dragging their ass either. "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast" is trash! Fast is fast!
Must say I amj well impressed with the spped of the first fire fighter in tackling these fires. No hesitation - straight in. Likewise the second F/F wasted no time in deploying his water and noted the officer continued when he left to get a grinder to open the garages up. First class effort by the whole team - no hanging about, wter on fire attitude which meant and early end to the problem. Well done everyone. I appreciate this fire was not as complex as others I have seen but it was the speed of response from the time the fire wagon stopped until water was on the fire!
First - GREAT video. Thanks. Next - First company in did a great job on the knock down. Ladder company with the saw- perfect. Lots of work we didn’t see - engineers, supply lines. You’re ALL hero’s. Thanks for your service.
Less than one and a half minutes in, and LAFD have water on the fire. Ruthless. Pitiless. Relentless. Fuckin A, guys. Required watching for fire departments everywhere.
LAFD are the calmest, coolest, most professional firefighters in the country. In my humble opinion. Makes watching their fire videos delightful and boring at the same time.
Need to place some larger diameter hoses in service; a couple of Deuce-and-a-Halfs would deliver a lot more flow. 1-3/4 lines do not deliver adequate flow for large fires.
Wow, not a peep - just hopped out and went right to work with zero hesitation. It’s nice to see some FF videos that can be used as examples of how it should be (plus the lack of people complaining in the comments is refreshing lol.)
@@TyMan970 Wear you SCBA all the time no matter what your senior guys say. Even during overhaul. Times are changing but there is a lot of dumb people in the way.
That first guy off the pump engine was a true hero, straight in carrying his own hose and attacking the fire. The guy in the red helmet wasn't much use, never even had BA on!!
They guy in the red helmet is the engine captain. He is coordinating the efforts of his men, talking to dispatch about additional help and is in command of the incident until relived by the BC. He initially surveyed the scene to make sure there were no additional threats to other structures from the fire. That’s a lot of responsibility for, as you say”wasn’t much use”
The rubber tires are always hard to cool enough to put them out permanently. They keep re-igniting. I had that trouble while trying to put out a car fire at my apartment complex. I used 3 large extinguishers and they kept catching fire over and over. The fire department arrived and used a large volume of water to put them out.
Bell'intervento aggressivo, veloce, in forze e ben coordinato. Tra le decine di video che ho visto, è il primo soddisfacente. Grande pericolo anche per i cavi dell'energia elettrica in fiamme.
Not true. The overhaul crew also are immune. And apparently the dude who put out the dumpster fire as well. I think I saw two people on the nozzle who are also immune. This department prioritizes safety.
Wow dude what a burn! Perfect timing for you too man, couldn’t have been any better. Lmfao that cop walking up with the extinguisher, stops to realize it ain’t gonna do shit and it’s way too damn hot. You know he wanted some haha! Good shit bro, now on to the next.
Im afraid ur statement is not that true. If the dumpster caught on fire from the convection the captain with no SCBA standing much closer to the fire would have had his face melted off. There was definitely embers flying around but very hot nonetheless!!
@@jeremylujambio3132 I've been on several fires where the nearby garbage cans catch fire from radiant heat. Look at it off gassing at 2:40. The captain has turnouts on and he isn't standing there facing the fire without moving... he turns away, moves around, etc. (though I have no idea why he wasn't packed up, seems pretty dumb) While It is possible an ember flew into the garbage can igniting the contents, I wouldn't be surprised if the dumpster heated up like a dutch oven causing its contents to ignite inside. It happens all the time.
Wow these guys are animals!!!!! Bravo!! True hero's.. I support and appreciate our first responders because you have to, the day will come when you will need them, But i see so many Fire Fighter videos where there's no sense on urgency, pretty scary. Not these guys, all Fire Dept. should be looking at these guys as the model Fire Fighters, the standard how all should be. I know its not easy and extremely dangerous and life threatening, but its what you chose to do. Once again Bravo!!! You guys are heros!!
Somebody smack me some fire ground knowledge... Considering the approach at 3:28, why stick with a tight stream? Wouldn't something more open be better? I say this after 3:29, 'cause I'm assuming they were staying out from under the burning powerline until then, and a stream reached out better. Good camera work FB1.
If I understood your question, a straight stream is better than a wide fog because the fire has a much harder time converting a solid block of water to vapor than if the droplets are further apart. If the fire's goal is to vaporize the water so it can keep burning it uses less energy to convert droplets that are further apart. To take it to the extremes if you dropped 1000 gallons of water all at once the fire would go out. If you dropped 1000 gallons of water in the form of raindrops the fire might have a chance to convert the little raindrops to vapor without extinguishing.
Six garages going up and that cop things he can take it on with one fire extinguisher. 👍🏻
right. notice he stopped walking towards the end of that clip.
Every cops dream is to be a firefighter.
Make an effort.
The ones that don't try are the ones that end up having to be rescued, the ones that try are the ones that rescue the ones that don't. Stay safe.

Great job by both the firefighters on the hand lines.

well organized and water on quickly...impressed!

The best synchronization I've ever seen!
NGL, I liked the second firefighter's stream choice better. that added bit of fog did way more than #1's hard stream did.
