Your videos inspired me to start looking for old diaries too. Found one working a volunteer resale sale. Got excited. It was from the fifties... One of the 5 lines a day style journals... Woman talked matter of factly about farm meetings and going to KKK events... I Noped out and quietly returned the book to the person who accidentally donated their racist relative's journal... Did confirm to me what my grandma had told me about how organized racism was just background noise to that previous generation... It included lovely entries like "swept kitchen. KKK Meeting. Bill has cough"
