Wonderful family video, never seen before and beautiful CC music. Thank you so much for sharing this priceless mix. Indeed he seemed like a grown child as if he carried his missed childhood all his life, although he always said he was a serious man. Dear Oona would surely know. What a graceful lady she is. Just the perfect match for him at last. I must say it’s not like he “looked for the 1st two”, but life in Hollywood always came with its risks. He worked non stop and succeeded early in life, having acquired so much experience very early. Bravo Charlie and Oona. You’re a role model of a family. ❤❤❤

Excellent....love the music and so great to see that even in later years Charlie was still so playful and like a big kid. Wonderful job, your videos are the best.

It is rather good and Robert Downey Jr. is brilliant but the film has too many inaccuracies. I love Chaplin’s films much better!

Thank you! It's always amazing to see Chaplin direct A Countess from Hong Kong. Where is this footage from? A nice compilation.

Outstanding footage. Much of this is seen in brief clips in "The Gentleman Tramp" (1975) which is available in DVD from Amazon. The clips presented here are longer and expansive and are lovely. The additional revelation is him "spoon feed" directing Marlon Brando and Sophia Loren in 1966.

Chaplin in exhile? Is it because he was exhilarated? Or because of a spelling error and should read "exile"?

Wonderful video! I'm especially intrigued by the footage from the shooting of A Countess from Hong Kong. Where did you get this? Anyway, a very good compilation!
