I like the Wild Rides kits but even back when we were just bugger fabbing pieces in there it made a huge difference, no more torn floor pans LOL.
TRUNKBACK JIM yes sir.
looks so much easier with an extra set of adult hands. i had my 8 year old daughter hold the bolt topside while i jammed the nut on from the bottom. it was a challenging install to say the least! haha
k129h8 I bet it was challenging. But those memories your building with your child can’t be replaced!
Speed Addict 731 i agree brother
Glad to see you are Doing well!! Great Fox bodies!!
Coyote carguy thank you!
Just watching I have the feeling you would make a great teacher.
miles Hiles thank you!
I freaking hate doing torque boxes lol its one of those things I get mad about before I even start doing it.
Bryan Roupe I know what you mean. I have a few jobs that I cringe about when I know I’m about to have to do.
You aint kidding. Took me 2 days by myself. My next cringy thought is having to pull the dash for a heater core and ac evap
I always love seeing a coyote swapped fox.
Thanks for showing the torquebox instal
huck01955 yes sir!
Why didn’t you remove the sound dealing that is on the floor instead of just bolting everything on top of it?
Uh oooo u are getting us content before Caleb on the Fox's . Lol it's cool though I watch both
Ryan Patrick lol. Thanks for the support
Another great video! I need to do these on my coupe also. The strawberry car is looking so damn good to I want it so bad lol.
svtpower03 thanks! Yes I want the strawberry coupe also.
The engine bay on the black Mustang looks freaking awesome!!!
Sean Mcmurray yes it does😎
Good to see you up, out and about. Looks like you're healing up good too. How are the other guys doing and the shop? Hear back from the insurance companies yet? I have a torque box kit ready to be installed. My car has an AOD, so it's not getting hit as hard out of the hole. I believe, I'm not an expert. I only play one 24/7...lol.
Afri thank you! Jesse and Daryle are doing good. And yes the aod is not as hard on the torque boxes as the manuals are.
@@SpeedAddict731 It's good to know you all are ok. I'm going to install my torque box kit anyway. I'm going to be adding more power down the line.
Afri definitely still need to install it even in a auto car.
@@SpeedAddict731 I'm trying to stiffen it up. Full length subframe connectors were my first mod. I don't want the put a roll bar in it, but I probably will. I want my car to take corners too.
A question for y'all. On the torque box reinforcement video, the upper plate bolts protrude quite far into the cabin. This seems to be ok for the notch back. But how does this work in a 82 4 eye 3 door hatch back? Will the fasteners interfere with the seat folding flat? Can you put the fasteners in the other way ( ie. Bolts going down, nuts on the bottom?)
Back to basics... love it!
Any reason why you wouldn’t go ahead and seam weld the torque boxes while in there? I’d weld in the reinforcements too. Just a thought.
Commented too soon. Lol. I heard the suggestion to weld at the end.
MeanGreenFalcon62 yea they did weld them before they were done with the car.
I've also just heard of welding the stock torque boxes. Is that a valid thing?
GearHead704 yes you can weld. I prefer these also as it helps give extra support
Why would you guys not flip the bolts to the bottom inside where you can't see them instead of having them exposed and in the way of everything is this your first time working on a car just asking
I thought the same thing when i did mine. Then i realized they say that in the instructions for a reason. I had a hard time with the wrenches when i flipped the first side.
Looks great! That Strawberry is looking sweet lol. See what I did there?
Charlie Stavro 😂😂
Nice
Guess when I do rear end have set these.
Rodcognito 00 definitely something every fox needs.
Great video on torque boxes
Juan Molina Thank you!
Anyone know what product was used to paint the interior panels black in this vid? Tried a product years ago, and wasnt impressed. Im about to remove my blue interior and want to go black or dark charcoal.
Thanks
After replace my cooling I’m going to do suspension and anything to prevent from torque does it interfere with the seats in the back? Or can I put them back in after this?
RODRIGUEZ-12 you can put them back in.
Must be a guy thing... .. . ever since I was a kid whenever my parents had work done on the house I would always sit quietly and watch the repairman fix whatever was broken and politely ask a question or two.. I didn't have the blessing of having a mechanically inclined dad teach me about that kinda stuff.. My blessing was having parents well off enough to pay for things like that.. Regardless I just like watching professionals do their work..
Great vid I need to do this.
Jim Mitchell Thank you
How did you get the lower brackets in??
Hey what type of paint did your buddy use to paint his interior panels ?
Skip to 5:29.... dude talks about everything other than torque boxes for for 5 minutes. Very informative after that.
How long did it take to install the reinforcement? What brand was it? I will need it when I install my new 408.
Steve Zipoff took them a couple hours for install and it’s a upr kit.
What song starts at 6:15? awesome
Great video

What did u guys do to the internals of the TKO 600?
Blue 302 they got it from a guy in Memphis. Not sure to be honest.
I’ve got one in my blown fox, they don’t like to shift anywhere around 6000rpm on north of that. Installing a revised shift selector and carbon lined synchros in mine from liberty gears. You may wanna look into that. Just my 0.02$
Blue 302 that was the concern I had with it also. I would really like to see a t56 magnum in it myself.
Yeah you and me both! Liberty gears is defiantly the way to go on your TKO 600. Keep the footage coming....love the videos
Blue 302 thank you!
Hey Buddy, great video. You should check out the video of my 86, it was one of the nicest four eyes in the Country. Keep up the great content and happy to see you moving about!!!
