But when companies only have the lighter versions of all those in between, thats the problem. There are a lot of deeper skinned people whos skin tone is very common still not being made but the lighter versions in every shade are.

I know this video is really old, but I think the milk is darker, and I love all of the different shades of foundations and contours so nobody has left out. I love brands like milk that’s almost all I buy now.

I think the milk one is just a bit softer and shinier so it looks darker/thicker but they're essentially the same shade just in different finishes and coverage per swipe to my eyes 🤔 If they were applied to the exact same coverage level they'd be nearly indistinguishable aside from Milk being dewy in finish and the Fenty being matte/velvet. But some others have pointed out that they're also very slightly different 'temperatures' and they're right. One is slightly warmer/red toned and the other slightly cooler/blue/purple toned. I'm a pale Scottish woman and I don't even contour or use foundation but I'm seriously happy that there are such dark and varied shades now in cosmetics! I honestly can't recall any shades even close to this growing up. Nothing darker than a sort of orangey and muddy brownish color. The inclusivity now with cosmetics and prosthetics and special fx etc etc makes me so happy. If someone wants to wear foundation or contour or what-have-you they should be able to find a color and shade that works for them and makes them feel beautiful and confident ❤️ Everyone deserves to feel amazing in whatever they choose to wear.
Milk is cooler and comes off thicker, Fenty is warmer and comes out thinner so her skin peaks through, but it is probably more blendable and buildable. Milk wins for darkness because the cooler tones make it appear darker and it's thicker, but I would need to see her work with them both to see which one is better for building and blending!
Truly! I do hope they make more things for us ultra pale women too though, I currently have to use the lightest CONCEALER shade to even have a skin match 😢

Fenty has a cool undertone where Milk is neutral, that's why it looks darker. Cooler shades "wash out" the color. Or rather, it pulls in more blue light making the color lighter by comparison. One of the reasons a light bulb with a yellow tint will look duller compared to one with a bluer tint
For the fenty contour stick i have a blush and and a highliter from collection they do a contour aswell the packing looks the exact same you can find collection on boots or superdrug etc
I love makeup companies with a wide range of color options. I'm the opposite end of the spectrum and it's hard to find a foundation pale enough to not make me kind tan/ orangy I use tones with names like porcelain or pale ivory
This is literally me. I started buying from a new local company here in Poland and they have a shade "swan" which is a "C01" coded shade and this is the closest I've gotten to my shade with an affordable concealer/foundation (though I still prefer to mix it with a bit of white mixer they also carry for a more seemless match)

Caviar is quite cool toned it almost is 🩶 gray. Same for milk. Dark ebony nearly black and def cool toned, PERFECT FOR CONTOURING GORGEOUS EBONY SKIN!

Things that are glossy typically look lighter, not darker, than matte things. The reflected light ups the perceived tone.

Milk looks like it’s literally just a cool shade of near-black. Fenty is warmer, but it’s an actual *deep* brown.

The milk one seem to be a cooler tone then the fenty one. Fenty one seems a bit warmer.
To me, it looks like the Milk one is a cooler tone while Fenty is warmer which makes the Milk one look darker.

Both dark, but fentys warmer and milk is cooler thats why it 'looks' darker
