The F-5 really is my favorite aircraft for ground attack. She is super simple to operate so you don't need to muck about and can easily get set up for a run in under thirty to forty seconds. Saves your life since sudden bursts of AAA usually need to be taken care of quickly. Throw in there is something nice about getting close to your target in order to engage them unlike an A-10 that can set up five to ten miles out. Plus once your ordnance is gone you are back to full fighter mode.
Tarnfalk I'll take the A-10 everyday. Mavs 5-10 miles out to take out AAA. Close in with gun. The Hawg will shrug off hits that will Swiss cheese the F-5. Plus the GAU-8 makes the 20mm seem like a BB gun. But to each his own.
Just like the mk117 is an older generation of bombs the FFAR is an older generation of rockets. If you see a late 50's aircraft firing air to air rockets those are probably FFAR. Same generation as the bigger Zuni i think

00:44 oh yeah, so many white phosphorus options to maim with!
Thank you. Cap great video. Just bought the plane will be flying soon.
The depression is about 18 for some WW2-style anti-bomber rocket fire :)
It's really only useful when the target flies straight (and it is big).
