      has some other LEDs with different colors so to say, mainly adds UV lights, which makes your fluorescent corals "glow" more :)

      Thanks. It is to prove a deeper spectrum colors which are definitely useful. But I have been ok without them so far :)

    Hi Dimitri love the way your SPS tank looks, I notice that you don't have a cover on it. Any worries that your yellow wrasse doesn't jump out?

    • @TreasureCorals
      @TreasureCorals  9 месяцев назад +1

      I do worry, but ok with that risk. Over the years I did lose about 5 fish, which always sucks.

    I previously was running 2 xr15's with blade glows over my 80g tank. Now I run Orphek blue plus bars and that brought back the pop to my g5 radions similar to the legendary g4's. The only thing is the absence of ramping on the orpheks that is causing me to probably go back to the Blades. That and the disco effect of the orpheks is not nearly as nice as the even blanket of light of the blades with a soft shimmer of the xr15s. My biggest complaint with newer radions is the spectrum is not nearly as nice as the older ones.

    • @TreasureCorals
      @TreasureCorals  9 месяцев назад

      Interesting, what do you attribute that pop to?

      Grow - сто процентов :) тем более что у G6 уже сильный фиолетовый есть.

    hi im currently running 3x xr30 pro and 2x xr 15 blue on my 6 x 2.5 x 2.5 sps dominated tank. was thinking to add some ai blade as supplement light to cover the shadowed sps parts. may i know if a 4 feet one be enough as i do not have much corals on the edges of the tank

    • @TreasureCorals
      @TreasureCorals  9 месяцев назад

      if you are hesitant, I'd say go with a 5 feet, I find that while there is some spill sideways as expected, there's a lot less along the long side.

    I would love to know how your par meter compares to the parwise. I have the parwise and believe they read roughly 100 par lower. Itc states they do this because the parwise doesn't read spectrums, not usable by our corals

      Very interesting, we need to do a video to compare :)

      I had my clubs meter and compared it to the itc and only saw a small difference. Around 20 PAR lower in the ITC.

    Hi Dimitry, Happy Christmas. Thanks for the video. My current tank is on Aquaticlog as andyh. I have some softies , Goniopra and A couple of montis, but now this tank is running nicely I a going to get some more corals( after I have delt with an Aiptasia outbreak).I did find I beached some frags at 250 par. Like you said in the video you do tend to get nearly the same PAR from the sand to the top of the rocks. Do you think I should aim for about 160 PAR for now with some UV but quite a lot of white? Thanks again for your videos

    • @TreasureCorals
      @TreasureCorals  9 месяцев назад

      Not a bad way to back off for a bit, also - make sure that you have decent amounts of nitrate and phosphate in the tank as that helps as well.

  • @6jdhd
    @6jdhd 9 месяцев назад +1

    Ok, one problem with this video is your giving false info. Spectrum. You have no proof of your Spectrum. This is the problem in the hobby. Par is just for placement and tuning you levels to get the right par. It has nothing to do with Spectrum. Spectrum is key in a reef. And now you are capable of tuning Spectrum with the par wise. So, saying 10k and not having a way to test Spectrum is false info. And even if the app you're using for your lights day 10k , it's not that spectrum. Not even close to it.

    • @TreasureCorals
      @TreasureCorals  9 месяцев назад +7

      Valid point, I got use a better terminology in the future, but I think that when I refer to a certain look as 10k most viewers know what I mean. I also show the exact values I've programmed my lights with and what I personally have been running. I do not own a spectrometer, although that would be nice.

      Somebody's on the spectrum. What are you a walking chromatic spectograph?
