The most beautifully crafted expression of love, caring, and soulfulness I have ever heard regarding cancer and the uncertainty of survival . Hits very close to home. Great American Music Hall, here I come.
After the passing of a loved one, songs such as this become personal treasures, a representation assigned to those who had left their indelible mark on our souls. I miss you dad.
This was my jam four years ago. Today, pandemonium in world has led me back here to this wonderful song, Nat. Specifically the words "dying to live" had me singing along.
You are such a breath of fresh air. You know you've done something right when all the hairs stand up on your arms and you get goosebumps. I believe thats when music touches your soul. all of your music does just that for me. Thank you.
What a beautiful song. Nataly's voice is so suited for these wistful, almost heartbreaking melodies and lyrics. She really gets the potential power of music. Thank you.
It's been my privilege to have been following Nataly since she was starting out on RUclips. Whether she achieves great fame or not, she's a great musician.
These lyrics are just unbelievable. I sat there staring at my computer, bewildered, for a solid minute after this video ended - you're a truly gifted song writer
God when you deliver you really do it. Classic melodies that grab the heartstrings for sure. My fav line: "Fear not" must have worked back in biblical times
This rapidly aging hippy and half vast musician has not seen a flower child since leaving Haight & Ashbury in 1967. Seeing and hearing Nataly Dawn brings a smile to me. I was beginning to think we were almost extinct, but now i know better. Beautifull ! May she sing forever.
Wow I can't believe I just found this. I was listening to this song 11 years ago, and after a little bit of time I could never remember who you are or what this song was. It's still a great song now.
Hey Nat I came back to see what you've been up to. This is one of my old favorites from many years ago. New meaning for me I was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma last November. I beat cancer and I'm clear for now. Thanks for the beauty you've brought into the world.
Nataly, you really know how to tap into the holiness of the human spirit. I've listened to many of the songs you do and I love everything. With Pomplamoose you both are so funny, quirky and loose. Thank you for all that you do!
Nataly has the unusual knack of presenting beauty through simplicity. Not to say the chord structure is necessarily simplistic, but each instrument has room to breathe. I love the haunting tonality, dreamy piano and yes the lyrics. The progressions remind me a bit of Norah Jones, while still unique in their own right.
I think it's the first time you sing with your eyes closed most of the song (except the first verse) and after 2:37 when you say "When we pray are we just closing our eyes" you open them for the first time - magical.
The lyrics to this song are soooo freakin good. Not only can you create music, but you're smart. That puts way ahead of the vast majority of musicians out there.
I know I have already said this.....but I just watched this again, and I have to say it again. This is so beautiful. they words are heartfealt and powerful. It strikes quite a cord because of the honesty in the emotions, while being general enough to be relatable to so many. I love your originals
I see neither a depressed girl, nor anyone who looks like they are under the influence of any drug, What a lose minded opinion. This is fantastic music and It pleases me to no end to hear someone making music for the sake of the beauty. Thank you Nataly.
Wow. What beautiful melancholy. Unusually gifted song writing. Something very interesting is going to happen over the next few years. Thanks so much (now) for your music.
It's been a long time since a song brought tears to my eyes. Nataly, this song is so beautiful. And more than that, it really touched me. You are lovely. Thank you for sharing this with me.
i just cant get over how great the commentary in this song so deeply matches the tone. i hear definite references to cancer and also a treatment. it creepily reminds me strongly of "the lovely bones" and i just love its powerful message and its striking beauty. it can be placed in the soundtrack of almost "drama" movie. youre just so amazing and i hope you know how many people rely on you and your music to bear the world. we love you.
bravo, bravo INCREDIBLE, Beautiful Nataly, compositions as this, is the reason I love listening to music and why I'm still at it, creating and producing my own .your huge talent luv,
Simply lovely, such a poignant lyric. I can't remember the last song that I even bothered to listen to so closely to hear the lyrics let alone analyze and relate them. So much to live for. Nataly, you are doing a great work here. Asking and answering some very deep questions. I've listened to it 10 times now and I keep finding more meaning each time. This is what music is missing today. Thank you for your inspiration! Cheers
Nataly Dawn for president!!! These kinds of chord progressions, that are all-too absent from popular music, grab you by your heart and dont let go until the end of the song.
wow...this is the first time I have actually listened to an unknown the whole way thru. You've got a lovely voice and a nice original touch. God speed to you!
I also wanted to say that I shivered when I listened to that song second time.. Shivered out of.. I don't know, maybe it was a deep feeling of consolation.
Every new place I visit, I try to find new music to capture the sense in the air on my travels like a kind of mind photograph. And your and Jack's music will ensure I remember every moment whilst I'm in Japan. Thank you for making this and everything else you do!!
I did recognize right away what this one is about, having been there with loved ones, myself. Sending lots of hope and best wishes for the subject(s?) of this song, Nataly. Some of the best art the world has ever known has been inspired by such sadness as this, but also by joy and gratitude. I do hope you have cause for the latter very soon, especially with respect to the 'remission' business. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful music. Thank you for sharing it. Yours very sincerely, Liana
As someone who has seen too many of my friends and family die of cancer including my mother, father, son's mother and my sisters little 9 year old girl I can't help but wonder who Nataly Dawn learned so much about cancer with - herself, a close relative or close friend. Either way so many memories come back by hearing this song. There is so much press on AIDS in this country but for every 1 person who dies of AIDS in the US 24 people die of cancer (in the US) in the same year.
Wow. This is simply amazing. Nataly, you have an incredible gift of music. Your lyrics are genuine and original. And your passion while you sing combined with the meaning of the song is so powerful.
This is such a beautiful song Natalie. Really :) I love your music and the way you sing. you're wonderful. Thank you so much for creating such amazing things in this world
Couldn't stop listening. I was hooked by this simple, honest sound with thoughtful lyrics. It's not my usual cup of tea but I really liked it. Artists have to create and really good artists need a uniqueness that is accessible. That's what I think you have. Art is a funny thing.
Lovely. Your gentle touch allows you to get away with some unusual and dissonant progressions while sounding completely natural. It is only while watching you play that some of these are even noticable. Fabulous vocal as well.
beautiful song, as you have used us to. Sad, too. If you can conceive a so beautiful song in a so difficult moment, as I read from your comments, you demonstrate to have a superior strenght under your vibrant voice and fawn eyes.
When you come back here, you know we're all still here with you, right?
Creative lyrics - Perfect.
Amazing melody - Perfect.
Meaningfulness - Perfect.
Amazing voice - Perfect.
Plentiful talent - Perfect.
... This is The Voice Of America!
This is so amazing. She can whisper a word and put as much emotion in it as someone else who would have to scream.
The most beautifully crafted expression of love, caring, and soulfulness I have ever heard regarding cancer and the uncertainty of survival . Hits very close to home.

I am as of a few days completely and unequivocally blown away by Natalie and Pomplamoose. Obsessed, even. Been listening to nothing but their music...
I am living with cancer....this song beautifully puts into words the feeling I cannot quite express.
I have listened to this song since I was in high school, I still don"t understand why you guys aren't big!!! Much love and keep it up!!!
They're big since she released the first song.
Oh, how I love this song. Excellent lyrics and such a lovely, unique voice. Thank you.

What a fantastic song! Sang by the most pure, natural and beautiful voice I've ever heard.

her voice is so soft and classical. It reminds me of a gentle summer afternoon.

God bless you, Nataly... and the wonderful, amazing person to whom this song is directed...
I've been addicted to this song for days.

Hey Nat I came back to see what you've been up to. This is one of my old favorites from many years ago. New meaning for me I was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma last November. I beat cancer and I'm clear for now. Thanks for the beauty you've brought into the world.

Everything about you radiates awesome.

Haunting melody...I cannot help but replay this over again...!

ah, and this one breaks me heart. Nataly, pure voice, pure talent. And - bless your heart - a great sense of humor.
Such a pretty and hopeful music for the world's latest events at Japan and Libya. Thanks for this Nataly, your music calms down the soul.

The lyrics are so true and resonate with me.

Encore une fois ce une chanson beautful, comme votre nouvelle!
As Torque said, it's nice someone slows down and just softly sings a melodic piece to help soothe. Keep it up!
I absolutely love all your music. Pomplamoose and My Terrible Friend are amazing. Thank you for creating such wonderful music!
You've captured so much that's been flying through my mind lately. Thank you.
Beautiful song, her voice too.
I became a fan.
