Absolutely loved Highbury. What a stadium.
When the FA cup meant something. Look how packed the forest away end is.
The following season we (Forest) played Man Utd in the QFs - we won 2-1 - and took almost 13,000 fans !!!!
Absolute ding dong cup tie. A Nigel Clough masterclass.
Class. Thanks ⭐️🌳⭐️
Old Big Head's assessment of his son was Brutal!
Another great post, thanks! BTW-why hasn’t the 1988 FA cup semi between Liverpool and Forest surfaced thus far?
2:21 "[...] overall attendance at Highbury to around 750,000, which means gate receipts of over 2 million pounds."
This would mean that an average ticket did cost back then less than 3£? This can't be true. I remember paying 5£ for a standing ticket in the Fourth Division at the end of the 1980s.
I payed 6£ for arsenal pool in 1992
